I don't have the attention span to do a summary of it, but there are some really great nuggets in this episode
interesting choice of a thumbnail pic of Kat. Even OG and Bridge's faces are interesting

prophet_of_rage wrote:Jalen has never been through a coach firing before and Thibs was special to him. Helped him become a two-time All-Star and all-NBA. Josh had the best season of his career. Thibs gave him stability he never had before. He plaued for 6 coaches in 8 years.
They love their teammates and they still talk in the group chat. They are sore now that they don't have to get ready for a next game.
Losing sucks and they are hurt they lost to Indy but aindy had counters for everything they did. They said it wasn't important where Indy ranked amd nobody believed they would beat Boston. So it didn't matter whether they were ranked as the favourites but missing the opportunity hurt. They believe they will be better next year. JB isn't watching the finals. Hart is hate watching.
Josh didn't want Jay Wright as his coach again. JB knew Wright was retired for good because he is living life.
They talked aboutnfather's day and some team awards like best dressed, best music, best teammate etc.

No problem. Nnothing earthshaking. Just the human perspective behind an athlete.3toheadmelo wrote:prophet_of_rage wrote:Jalen has never been through a coach firing before and Thibs was special to him. Not sure his shot is fixable at his age, something about wrist too flat or straight. But imagine if he improved his three point shot to just average, so teams had to guard him. And he no longer hesitated when open. It would really unlock the offense

He’d actually have to put some effort into practice and shooting drills but by all accounts he acts like a **** high schooler during practice and team meetings. He should be embarrassed to be defended on the perimeter by a center lol. He is who he is at this point.

yea i love josh as much as the next guy and he had an amazing season. but since when did we normalize half assing everything besides the game?
i mean, we dont know whats going on behind closed doors in those sessions. maybe its all an act. but i find it weird they he celebrates his work ethic like that. he acts like he already done all the work and can just play
prophet_of_rage wrote:He is who he is. He goes off vibes. His wife is Trini. He isn't about the serious face during the grind. They've said he could be an elite shooter. He doesn't eant to be. He wants to win his way. He didn't want Wright as his pro coach because he was exacting on him. He loved Thibs because he got freedom for effort level. In his wau Josh is selfish as well. The Nova boys have odd psychologies. Jalen wants to do it all. Mikal doesn't want to get dirty and Josh just wants to vibe.
