Durant to Denver feat. Memphis

Post#1 » by Syko_boB » Sun Jun 15, 2025 10:17 pm

Grizzlies

26 best of LAC/MEM 2nd & 28 SAC 2nd
For
Peyton Watson & Zeke Nnaji

Memphis uses a bit of their cap room to help facilitate the blockbuster, bringing in 2 guys to add some friendly competition to the group of young wings

Morant - Caldwell-Pope - Wells - Watson - Jackson Jr
-----

Suns

Kevin Durant
For
Michael Porter Jr, Dario Saric, 31 DEN 1st, 26 best of LAC/MEM 2nd & 28 SAC 2nd

Phoenix rejects KD's ideas & sends him up the mountain
They bring in a much cheaper replacement along with a lotto ticket & some scratch cards

Booker - Beal - Dunn - Porter Jr - Richards
-----

Nuggets

Michael Porter Jr, Peyton Watson, Dario Saric, Zeke Nnaji & 31 DEN 1st
For
Kevin Durant

Denver puts all their nuggets into one box & hopes Durant & Jokic can find the sauce before things get rotten

Murray - Braun - Gordon - Durant - Jokic

Memphis is not using cap space Nnaji. We are reserving/making cap space for a JJJ renegotiation. Love to have Watson but would need to find another way.... he would not start here though. Edey is our starter at center and while he is out Aldama or Clarke would start.

I don't think Phoenix takes this either, likely going to be better offers unless they are higher on MPJ than I imagine.

I don’t see Memphis being interested in this simply because I think they’d rather keep the picks over adding Peyton and Zeke. I also don’t see the Suns as being this high on MPJ, who is pretty much just a much worse version of KD. You would have to think someone would give Phoenix a much better offer than that. I do however like the fit of KD in Denver. I think he and Jokic would be incredible together for the next 3 years assuming Denver could talk KD into signing an extension. I dont know what Denver could realistically send to Phoenix to get him though

Based on what we seen with the Desmond Bane trade, there's no chance the Suns are accepting this package for Kevin Durant. Michael Porter Jr on his contract isn't positive value and the Suns would still have a hole at the Center position. There's a reason why the Nuggets are not mentioned as teams that in the running for Kevin Durant. They simply don't have anything the Suns want outside of Aaron Gordon and Christian Bruan, but the Nuggets are not planning to trade them,so it doesn't matter.

Would definitely do this as a Nuggets fan, but I don't see why the other two teams would want any part of this. Denver simply does not have enough to offer to get Durant.
