Im all for seeing meLo suffer but im in the same damn boat as him. So im out on this one. Get a good coach and send Randle to the suns to hoop with Beal. Thats a win/win.

Leon's asking all these teams to interview their coaches to get them to renegotiate their contracts. He is getting agents PAID. This man is a crime lord.

Wow Austin absolutely obliterates the Knicks here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a good look at all for Leon and co!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always interesting to watch buffoonery, especially when the subject admits why he's going to do it right there. He obviously has an agenda...felt like he was done dirty, so his opinion on the Knicks is moot....go **** yourself, Bucket Hat Bitch. And did anybody else get Godfather vibes from his description of the meeting? He's describing it like a bad thing. I pictured his bum ass in that room being told he sucks by Marlon Brando, and I liked it....so **** this guy not liking how we do things. What were they going to do, suck his dick because he's a nepo baby? OMGGG they did me dirty, sent me to OKC...FOH...Austin Quivers...pussy got scared sitting in a dark room..."tHErE wAs oNLy oNe LigHt In iT"

Anyway...there is nothing to worry about, people. Am I the only one actually IMPRESSED with what the Knicks are doing? Imagine Spo has wanted to leave Miami for....last couple of years, but believes he has to be the good soldier...play out his contract....be loyal. But coaches are fired all the time....sometimes...even after getting a team to a conference finals after twenty five years!!! Insane, right?

All the Knicks are doing is putting coaches and their teams on the spot...no secret late night phone calls....straight up giving out names and their desire to the media...like a call out....hey....

To all you coaches out there..who don't want to be on sorry ass teams, where the GM is all up in your playbooks, all up in the practices, scrimmages.....

dancing in your videos....

Come to the Knicks!!

I don't have a problem with this. Player empowerment? This looks like coach empowerment to me. All this mocking and **** on the Knicks going on.....these clowns are still operating on old software...they don't see what they're doing. It's brilliant. Sure, we got slapped for asking for Udoka...but what if....some player **** his wife, and he wanted out badly but felt there was no way out....only getting fired or breaking his contract? Then he hears on his tv..."Knicks are asking the Rockets permission to speak with Ime".....woooaaa. If the Knicks weren't blowing this search up...how would he know? How would they all know? Maybe not Udoka...maybe Finch, Kidd or whoever is tired of something...bad trades maybe????? No need to drag along..they have an out if they want. Rockets had to publicly shut this down...but if Ime really wanted to get out, they couldn't, unless they wanted to look like dicks in the media.

This is why I think we haven't heard anything about Kidd. He's still twiddling his thumbs. He's a little weasel, and if he wants, he'll get his team, he's done it before.

This is some new ****, and I'm for it.

We have time...why tf would we just say ahhhhh that guy and give him a multiyear multimillion dollar contract the day after we fire our coach... these dudes crying about how we still don't have a coach....no **** ****, we don't need one right now. "They look pathetic asking around to talk to working coaches"..Ohh, they can actually do that though??? So why would we only look for fired dudes jerking off at home...due diligence mother ****...do we have it?

Yes we do.

I want Bryant, but I'm not mad at this.

So who is running the X's and O's then? Is Leon going to give them the system to run? Or they bring is great assistants? I don't get it.

It's a ridiculous opinion from a nobody. They are probably looking for a coach who will actually play guys they sign or trade for. They are probably looking for a coach who recognizes that hoping the other team misses wide open three point shots is not called defense. They are probably looking for a coach who has any sort of grasp on today's game.

Not looking for Xs and Os? Silly.

I think Cap'n O had it earlier. Probably want someone who listens a little more to analytics advice, but that doesn't mean in game.

Also, Knicks went out and invested a decent sum in upgrading the medical staff, but Thibs approach to minutes didn't change at all. Did he ignore some advice there? Another possibility. But it's a guess.

There's always friction between a coach and the FO over trades/personnel, but it's a matter of degree. Another area of contention?

And don't know if this is a positive thing or an example of FO overreach.

i know this is a low-quality source, but i like the idea of a coach being seen as someone players can trust and turn to. donte on taylor jenkins (i believe from an unrelated time.)

yeah. anchoring that to the search a little better, we are likely looking for coaches that can better represent the necessary communication and relationship building needed. completely understand that.

Has the FO disappointed the fan base with the hire yet?
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.
