Fair to say we all expect the Magic to draft Clayton Jr if he's available right?

If we need to move up a spot or 2 attach our 2nd rounder

Adding both SRPs does not move the Magic to 24 from 25.

Give me a young big especially if Moe isn’t back.

Clayton isn’t a bad pickup though.

I prefer Maxime Raynaud. If we draft Danny, would Moe be 100% out at that point?

I still think 25 gets moved (has to be after we make the pick now).

If it's not moved (in order of preference, presuming no other moves)...Coward, Raynaud, Beringer, Clayton, Powell, Wolf

Do any of these players move into the top 10 rotation right away?

Raynaud might. Nique Clifford (likely gone) might...otherwise, just hoping but filling in with vet mins in the meantime. Trev Queen is ready to go. Gary Harris on a vet min works too.

I also have a feeling about Koby Brea and Nembhard in round 2...either or both might contribute as NBA players quickly (not necessarily in ORL)

BPA at 25. Everything is out the window now LOL.

Hope we get lucky with a nice player dropping. 2nd rounders will be key going forward , we have good ones IMO.

Yeah.. with Moe out, WCJ annual 20game injury plus JIs rolling the dice... just get a legit 7fter that plays defense like Reynaud..

The scale for 25 and the vet-min overlap. If the Magic trades the rights to the pick, it is probably for a future asset. (Say to the Lakers for a low future FRP).

I think it is 50/50. The Magic will be taking calls on "whom do you want us to draft for you". And at the same time will have a draft bpard so that is a player liked is available, the pick will be kept as a 3rd-stringer on the depth chart.

Said another way: if it is a PG or combo-big selected, the pick might be kept.

Here's the rotation as of now:

Suggs/Black
Bane
F-Wagner
Banchero/Isaac
Carter/Bitadze

That's only 8 guys. So the Magic must find one or two more rotional players. WIll that be Mr #25? Almost certainly no.

As to the list of names: Coward, Raynaud, Beringer, Clayton, Powell, Wolf.
I like all of these guys at #25, as 3rd stringers. Maybe Coward cracks a depth chart. Maybe. But none of the rest would.

They simply have to draft big now.

Knightro could you add a poll on here asking if posters think we should draft a guard, forward, center, or BPA?

Is this anything...

#25, Goga and/or Jett Howard to BRK for #26 & #27

BRK has cap space, a tank ahead of them and FOUR frps...I think we could be done with the Jett experiment, but a team in their position might take a look.

I think in year 2 that TDS is a clear rotation backup to Franz at SF. I also expect us to re-sign Houstan to a value deal and he was really coming on a the end of last year - add in Moe and we have our 11 man rotation who will get minutes - the rest is Jett, the #25 pick, probably CuJo and a few LLEs or G leaguers like Queen (again).

If we keep WCJ, Goga, Isaac and re-sign Moe I think we need a combo guard at 25 IMO. So:

Suggs/CuJo/#25
Bane/Black/Jett
Franz/TDS/Houstan
Paolo/Isaac/G Leaguer
WCJ/Moe/Goga

Jeff mentioned TDS as a core player (but didn't mention Jett)

Suggs/Black
Bane
F-Wagner/TDS
Banchero/Isaac
Carter/Bitadze
Suggs, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, Jett
Franz, TDS,
P5, JI, Panda
Wcj, Goga, Moe

Anybody else excited to hear Weltman say that whoever we pick at 25 was our original target at 16th before we traded that pick? Lol
