This could be bad or good for some but the Odds are Toronto Raptors will be his next team as of today if he is available.....Would Masai really trade for this guy? And what would it take to get him?

I think Ja's a candidate to be moved later in the season or next season if things go badly for the Grizz. Looks like they made the Bane trade to give themselves more financial flexibility not to dismantle the team.

I doubt it, unless he's just throwing darts to keep his job. Even if Masai was somehow willing to overlook his off-court issues, he and BI are up near the top among guys who have missed the most games to injuries over the last 5 seasons. So there are ON-court concerns as well. The guy is tiny and can't stay healthy with the way he plays.

I doubt either one ends up here, but I think we're way more likely to attempt to trade for JJJ than Ja

If you can Ja Morant for cheap you go for it...I think people forget how good this guy was before injuries/dumb decisions.

Didn't see that report.....Could be a world where Ja is still available behind closed doors though....This offseason was said to be a crazy one so who knows....But Raptors being odds favs is deff something to keep an eye on.

Don't see this at all - more likely to get Sabonis from the Kings (if we are playing this betting odds game).

So aside from them not trading him, Ja is...

-A non-floor spacer

-A frequent injury risk

-The most inefficient star player when it comes to his level of usage and scoring

-A bad defender

-A huge red flag off the court for reasons that have been discussed to death

He's an awful fit next to Scottie on paper, period.

Merge this in the trade thread (Didn't see the report Grizzlies not trading him) Sounds like for now Grizz keeping him.

I’m fine with this deal as long as we keep Ja away from Rexdale

we just saw what they traded Bane for. In that context it's hard to see how it's possible to acquire Ja for cheap

Fair point, but with Ja's personal issues and injury history, it's likely the case that Bane has a bit more value right now.

The question is whether the Raptors would do something like Quickley, Gradey and a couple 1sts for Ja?

Big no to Ja, give me KD if that's the case. JJJ on the other hand would be great.

Regardless, if this is happening it's a full Ainge teardown (seeing how rough the west is, not a bad time to do it).

It's the full boat of picks. Once again, I could see Masai doing something like this with the KD trade included.

JJJ/Clarke
Barnes
KD
Ingram

With whatever is left in the backcourt after that (RJ/IQ gone with just the salaries needed).

This seems like a non-issue, for which I'm grateful.

Heck yes to Ja or JJJ, both are younger and great fits next to Scottie. Ja gives us a true alpha scorer/closer type, is way younger than KD or Giannis, and is probably a more realistic target than Trey Murphy.
