We can try to trade Porzingis in the draft night:
Isaac (27.6m) + #25 for Porzingis (29.3m) + 2 future SRPs
For Bos, they can save about 14m after 7/1; For Magic, Isaac for KP is an upgrate since both of them are "brittle" play and KP is much better in offense.
We can place KP in the bench and just play him 20-25 min per game.
Moreover, we are still under 1st apron so we can use full MLE (Total cap: ~193.7m < 195m (1st apron))

Suggs (35M) / Black (8m)
Bane (36.7m) / NAW (MLE) / Jett (5.5m)
Franz (38.6m) / TDS (3.8m)
Paolo (15.3m) / KP (30.7m)
WCJ (10.8m) / Goga (8.3m) / MoW (res-sign 9m in the 1st year)

KP's contract is expiring in 2026 summer, it will help us releasing cap room for Paolo's extension.

Brogdon would be a home run. I've wanted him for awhile.

Problem is they would want picks, and we would have to trade the rest of our picks for the forseeable future outside of maybe 1 1st

AB, 2027 1st Unprotected, 2029 1st Unprotected, 2nd rounder

The trade makes sense, gives them a better guard rotation with defense to compliment Tyrese & Harper with AB and flexibility with the picks. This would be a complete investment into the current rotation as is. Only way we'd get more 1sts is by moving players. Suggs would be hypothetically moved once its time for McCain extension.

The trade makes no sense because we can't move 27 & 29 FRPs now :D :D :D

Gotta figure out how to make that work. What's a "starting center" salary in this market?

Magic get Joel Embid and Jared McCain.

Sixers get Suggs, JI and WCJ.

Sixers get out of the Embid business and get some good solid rotation players and a maniac in Suggs.

Magic take a major risk but even out there lineup. All the magic players involved have all been injury prone in their careers so it’s kinda trading 3 oft injured players for 1. McCain I really like and think he could be a really good player in the league. I think Bane is a better version of Suggs and has proven more in the league. Plus we could keep Goga and resign Moe to a cheaper deal to have solid depth for when Joel gets hurt.

McCain
Bane
Franz
Paolo
Embid

Bench: Black, TDS, Goga, Moe, 25th pick, Jett( if he is still here) and fill out the rest of the roster with ring chasing vets on minimum contracts. Definitely would be a 2nd apron team but would immediately be the favorites in the east for years to come.

Embiid could be a gamble. How is his knee? I know PHI may want a different direction than Embiid's team did. But it doesn't mean we have to get in the business now. If we want a homerun hit on getting low on Embiid, Magic may have to wait

Some “insider” on Reddit is claiming NAW is already a done deal (MLE)

We can look at this trade as Bane/NAW for x4 FRP/1SWAP

That has to happen after July 1st. But we have to first decline some of our benches. But when is that going to happen? Before July 1st? If 2nd Apron is triggered, when does it come to effect?

Come on… please see the rule first!

We are not allowed to trade 27 & 29 picks now because of the rule. It is prohibited to trade FRP year by year. That means, since we have traded 26, 28 and 30 FRP, we are not allowed to trade 27 and 29 picks.

I can't see us giving a FULL mle to NAW unless we dump Jett s contract somewhere.

Giving the mle to NAW while keeping Moe would put us above the 1st apron

Maybe we can dump Jett’s contract in Lake Eola…

Financially, not without a trade.

Maybe if the Magic trade Howard and the rights to the 25 (after selection) for a future highly protected FRP, their might be just-enough money.

I just want to say that I don't really mind WCJ that much - but it feels lonely on that island around here. Anyone around here appreciate him as well as our 5th starter? I am not feeling Goga as a starter at all - he is really best as a 3rd big and injury replacement starter. I don't really know why people want Wendell gone so bad (although he is overpaid, it's not egregious and he knows his role IMO). And the trade options people salivate over like Gafford or Turner are either too expensive or not really that great either.

We have our two starting guards focus shifts to center. We basically have 3 good backup centers on the roster if we bring Moe back.

4th guard is maybe the next biggest need?

I agree.

Wcj is solid, he is alright. Not flashy. He is a capable big when he is motivated. He played so well during the play-in game. But sometimes, he plays like a pussy. WCJ complements Paolo in a way because he is versatile enough to defending the best big man of the opposing team. This allows Paolo to rest on defense.

Honestly, I’d draft a big at 25th so we can trade Goga for a pg or table setter to stabilize the second lineup.

And maybe get more athletic players and shooters to round out the roster.

The hustle defensive play of Suggs and an electrifying athlete to top it off with a dunk, that’s the type of swing plays that can bring the team energy to a higher level.

If Minnesota trades Gobert for Durant, they'll need another center.

I would love to get some value back for Goga. Draft a big at 25 potentially.
