Sac - Memphis

Post#1 » by LightTheBeam » Mon Jun 16, 2025 3:47 pm

Lavine, Carter, 26 kings 1st, 27 spurs 1st, 28 kings 1st, 30 kings 1st, 2 Charlotte 2nds

for

Ja, Clarke, konchar

Why for sac? 1st move. Monk for pj after, then demar for rozier and JJJ. Leaves us with good size and defense around the pg/c tandem.
Ja - Keon - Keegan - washington - sabonis
Rozier - Jaime - laravia* - Clarke - Valanciunas

Why for memphis? They will be absolutely loaded with picks. They will either start the new gen okc squad, or be able to front run a giannis trade the minute he becomes available.

Pippen - lavine - wells - JJJ - edey
Anthony - Carter - kcp - GG -

I disagree with this belief that a Bane trade signals a Ja trade, but agree with godaddy that if I could short Sacramento in a Ja deal I'd be pretty tempted.

Don't love this for the Kings.

I really like the final lineup for Sac, assuming the other deals are actually there?

Don’t think Ja is really available, but owning the 2028/2030 Sac firsts should interest Memphis..

Lavine in Memphis will be my last day as a Grizzly as it would signal the identity and culture change the majority of Grizz fans would not appreciate.

Those remote unprotected picks has a good value, yes.

The resulting Sacramento roster is not good enough to justify paying this for Ja, IMO.

I will cheer every missed Lavine shot. Regarding OP… I think this is a fair offer if we decide to tear it down all the way.

This would be such a meet-the-knew-boss-same-as-the-old-boss move for the Kings.

I'm usually pretty critical of trades involving the Kings because I think they always seem to overvalue our players, but I think this one would be fair for both teams. Ja and Keon is a back court worth gambling on and unprotected Sacramento Kings 1sts are some of the best assets you can own as an opposing team. Memphis would also have an absolute war chest to use to build around JJJ.

I really don't like the idea of Ja Morant. Seems way too risky, the guy could make another stupid choice and end up suspended for an extensive period of time. We don't need that sort of player, it's too risky for the kings to give up such a large package of picks.

Memphis isn't trading Ja.

Lavine is better than inefficient, non spacing, mediocre defense guards alone (Fox's replica). This is going nowhere. Ja doesn't have impact stats showing much, and will not be a target for the Kings. If its PG its Garland or Young as reported, and Lavine won't be involved, thats going in circles.

And as an aside, Memphis should have moved him, not Bane
