(Predict contract in FA) Ty Jerome

Post#1 » by zimpy27 » Mon Jun 16, 2025 11:10 pm

Less than 2 weeks until free agency, thought it might be fun to predict some of these player contracts.

What contract do you think he gets?

Not sure there are enough teams to offer more than the MLE for his services.
I do think he gets a MLE deal though.

If anyone knows what Brooklyn is going to do this offseason, it would shed a lot of light on all these guys. If they like Jerome and offer him $20m/year, he’s there.

Most likely thing is an MLE-range deal from Cleveland or from a place where he could compete to start.

Pretty much, Brooklyn hold court. I think Ty Jerome is a great fit and probable target for the Nets.

Man 100% of the 11 votes for NT-MLE... This is the most I've ever seen us all agree.

I'll take the under on the full MLE unless Cleveland specifically is able to dump some other salary and is willing to go that high. I can't see other teams going full MLE on him.

Vanished in the playoffs after a great year...that's going to cost him and give doubts about the investment. He's been around a while - so when a guy suddenly blows up in a contract year, you don't want to see anything negative at the end of the season.

$12.5 x 3yr.

If they just sign guys, sure. But is that their best use of cap space given the above roster is winning 35 games at most?

Almost every team has an MLE available. If multiple teams want the same player, he’s going to get the MLE. Smart voters on this thread :D
