Beal cannot be traded and has not been approached by Suns because he has NTC.

Waiving him does not help the Suns. Instead they just lose a 20ppg 5apg former all star to another team while Suns still suffer cap wise and money wise.

I read they cannot even waive him where he gets his full $110m - that even that counts as "dead" cap like stretching and waiving. I am not sure this is true.

And my guess, you are correct he has not been asked to waive the NTC as teams that might possibly trade him for are asking for way too much just to take the contract. And the cost isn't worth it

It's going to be hilarious when it's a three-team deal to get Deandre Ayton back to Suns, Jalen Green to the Blazers.

Blazers are actively looking to move Simons.

Or a good coach will addapt his style to the players he has, so having the best players is a better scenario than having a compensated group... ?

My hope is the coach is aligned - pun intended with Ishbia and Gregory on finding the right players to build around Booker.

My feeling is that Ishbia won't take that into account and trade for the player(s) that he thinks are most win now -- and if he knows there name like Randle (big name) or Gobert (big name) - -that will take priority over roster construction and style of play under Ott.

I just hear too much focus - -I was watching the PHNX_SUNS and again, Pridgeon and Ruby are talking about Center as the top priority. Get the best talent that isn't the SG position. Unless its Green and you can flip him. Get more good players around Booker. 1, 3, 4 or 5

Yes noted.

This is the Suns ownership intention.

But just as another rant and whinge from a fan... the Suns are making a terrible mistake.

Suns should be doing a Thunder circa Paul George trade. Basically cashing out on their flawed star and rebuilding.

Thing is, PG13 was a tier above Booker overall as a player and hence a harder decision for Thunder.

With Booker, he is so flawed that rebuilding means Suns is not giving up a HOF player. The guy made All Star games more times if not almost all the time as emergency selection. Booker is not a first option type player to build around.

Bulls saw this with LaVine and cashed out. Suns on the other hand are delusional.

Agreed, I think we just have to bite the bullet and ride out the Beal situation. We don't have the cap space or future assets to sacrifice via a trade or buyout. Just play him off the bench, see if anyone bites on an expiring next year, if not just let him expire

The second tweet - Sidery is wrong. For Robinson to count $19m - they would have to pick up the option and count all $19m

These trade shenanigans stopped with the CBA about 5 or 6 years ago. Teams used to be able to circumvent the cap this way - not anymore.

Ishbia better not be asking for those 2, that's jsut a waste of time and will piss off HOU.

Jalen/Jabari/27+29 returned to us.

Done and done.

Then send Jalen wherever to get a PG or C.

Zach Levine is a better athlete but a good comp

My comps for Booker are DeRozan and Klay.

I agree that Booker is not the player fans might think he is. I agree, cash out on him

So I hope Beal is with the Suns this year - -just suck it up Ishbia and get the real value in two years from Beal. Plus, Beal off the bench, should be a decent enough scorer

Read on Twitter

Unless he's a near 30ppg scorer with 5 rebound and like 5-6 assists, he won't ever match his $50m+ salary, it just is what it is. But again, without KD, I don't see why he couldn't give us like 22-24ppg, 5 rebounds and 6 assists especially if he was to play a bit more 1. The bigger thing for me is his health.

I was just mentioning Simons being on the trade block in case others were wondering why the Blazers would be interested in Jalen Green. Suns wouldn't be able to get all three of Simons, Ayton and Jabari Smith Jr due to being in the 2nd apron.

Though, I do think Jabari Smith Jr could possibly be traded to the Bulls for Coby White, if the Suns were interested in doing that.

This might be as exciting as it gets on this board for the entire year. Enjoy it. The anticipation of what "can possible be" with the Durant trade is as great as it is going to get.

Yes. Booker is partially to blame for the breakup of the team that went to the finals. Booker wanted KD here and pushed Ishbia to make it happen. The rest is history
