OKC was just playing with their food since game 1. They’ve turned it up the last 2 games.

Benching TJ for Hali was like when we benched TJ for Ben against Saltics!
TJ is a playoff dawg.

Re: NBA General Discussion: 24-25
Sure, SGA and Jalen Williams combined for 26 free throws, but both teams still ended up with around 30–32 free throw attempts and 24–25 fouls each. Even if you don’t have a star like SGA or Jalen, it feels like refs often try to balance out the foul and free throw numbers to give the appearance of fairness on both sides.

OKC is The Process with good decision making all the way through. What could have been had Silver not interfered with us...

OKC is The Process that started with Paul George and Russell Westbrook instead of Jrue.

Hinkie -> joined a treadmill organization with Jrue Holiday, Thad Young and Spencer Hawes as his three best players, after overseeing 2.5 seasons worth of games (before Jerry Colangelo snaked his way into the org), created a foundation of:
1. Embiid on a rookie contract
2. The rights to the #1 pick in the draft (Simmons) on a rookie contract
3. Room for max contract #1
4. Room for max contract #2
5. Robert Covington on a Hinkie special
6. Dario Saric about to come over on a rookie deal
7. Jerami Grant on a Hinkie special
8. Richaun Holmes on a Hinkie special
9. TJ McConnell on a Hinkie special
10. Lakers top 3 (later top 5) protected
11. Kings unprotected
12. 2 Kings pick swaps
13. 2 extra first round picks in 2016
14. Okafor in talks to go to Boston for the Jaylen Brown Nets pick
15. Noel is still being talked about as a near max guy
14. Innumerable 2nd round picks
He turned water into wine.
verdict: Negative reputation.
Sam Presti -> Revered as some sort of archetypal revolutionary for throwing a temper tantrum and blowing up a roster because he couldn't build a winner around Kevin Durant or James Harden, and then sent Paul George away for 10 first round picks.

Vegas has OKC favored by 5 in Game 6. On one hand, Haliburton might be hurt, and if OKC turns up the pressure, Indiana could just let this one go. But then again, guys like TJ and Siakam have shown they can fight without Hali. Still, I’d lean toward OKC blowing them out. At this point, they’re hungrier, while the Pacers might already feel like they’ve overachieved.

At some point, when defenses tighten up, having a player who can break them down off the dribble becomes crucial.

If pre- and post-game talk was anything like that, I might actually want to watch non-game sports content for the first time in about 25 years. So refreshing to see real talk about ball from ex-players instead of the mugging and preening that passes for network sports talk.

As Zumoff used to say, OKC "locked all the windows and doors". I'm not sure Shai himself could have gotten through OKC's defense. I suspect, especially since Hali is not at 100%, that OKC closes the deal tonight.

Shumpert has been excellent, and deserves the credit and recognition for that.

No doubt! I've been loving the post-game pods with Windy and Shump.

Yeah, but he'll need to up his clowning game to ever get a shot on one of the big money "analyst" jobs.

If IND had been able to hold on in game 4, the likelihood of a comeback from down 3-1 at this point would have been through the roof. Haliburton's injury is really unfortunate, as this was such a fun series to watch.

I mean, they got the current MVP and something like 5 picks in their tanking trade. Yes, they drafted well all around, but it's different to start there than where the Sixers did.

If Siakim and Nembhard have to take on a bigger offensive responsibility, I think OKC has another 20+ TO game. That’s the immediate impact of having Hali injured and unable to orchestrate. TJ is rock solid but I don’t think Indy can survive on contested 2s for a whole game.
