He gets much more of a pass though due to his salary.

I have no illusions to the dichotomy of expectations between the pair but Nembhard is a dude they gave a max extension to after their run last season and has been a big part of their current run. His role isn't to be exceptional but he made a handful of extremely poor turnovers (that led to points) and gave them nothing offensively. They're in the finals and he's a guy they rely upon heavily. He's gotta do better.

Nembhard did not get a max extension, hes gonna make 18 next year. Totally in the ballpark of a dude who should probably show up most nights but definitely wont every night

The number they paid him was literally the maximum amount they could have, ya know, a max extension.

Don’t disagree but Nem deserves more leeway given what he’s done for them this postseason relative to his minimum wage. If you’re gonna put a near minimum salary guy in that spot you have to take the good with the bad (and almost dare I say expect it).

I just cannot agree with this. If you were a fan of the Pacers, who watched the dude be your third (at worst fourth) most important player on the floor for the last two playoffs by playing smart and hitting big shots, and you're in the finals watching him have an absolute meltdown while your team came back to down 2 points in a pivotal game you'd be **** losing your god damn minds, not patting him on the back because he was a second round pick. Dude was a wreck out there.

Sure but it's games like this that make people rightfully scoff at the notion that Haliburton is a "Top-10" player. That was an All-time pube game considering the stage and stakes, and dude deserves all the heat because of how much of an insufferably arrogant twat that he is. You love to see it.

Just imagine being a Pacers fan and having the magical season gutted if they get blown out next game. Suns fans know.

I always had them more of a 2021 Hawks vibe. I feel the suns were legit good and deserved to be there while the hawks got hot and had some luck with opponents.

Whatever you want to call the extension with the maximum amount of money they could have possibly paid him under the CBA, go for it.

Saw a number of Suns fans on Twitter last night talking about how Pacer fans will take game 4 to their grave just as they still lament game 5 in 2021.

Instead of comparing Pacers to our 2019 season we should just be damn grateful we got 2021. If the Pacers bow out, they may never return here for another 25 years.

The Pacers haven't gotten close to the Suns in terms of regular season success during the CP3 era.

As Bucks fans, after some of the miracle shots the Pacers have hit on us, and how cocky they have acted, I hope the Thunder win.

But as a basketball fan, this Pacers team has been really fun to watch. They really do remind me of Reggie Miller, in that they are so fun to hate, that I secretly like them. They are like a pro wrestling heel, the guy a whole arena gleefully pays to watch get beat down.

Bucks we lucky to play the Suns. Both are straight up cursed franchises so needed to face each other to cancel out that curse.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Imagine what espn would be doing to Giannis the day after doing what Haliburton did last night.

Pacers still have a chance here to send it to a Game 7.

What exactly is Haliburton's injury? Does he play much in Game 6?

Good thing giannis would never do what Halliburton did.

And giannis has so much more impact than just scoring.

But ya.. If giannis had a sub giannis game they would try and crucify him.

So sick of the "he's clearly playing hurt" excuses whenever a guy plays bad in a playoff series and they need to spin the narrative somehow. They're already doing it with Haliburton because god forbid a superstar has ever had to play at anything outside of 100% health in the Finals. Luka last year? Oh, he's clearly hurt, give him a pass. Tatum whenever his efficiency inevitably plummets in the playoffs? Oh, he clearly rolled his ankle. Steph pretty much every time he had a mediocre series during that initial dynasty run? Etc., etc. It's annoying.

Thats just impossible for that to happen

Giannis played w a bad back against Miami and had

26 10 13

And

38 20 3

Theres stars, super stars, and then there's the actual mvp tier.
