Wouldn't mind targeting Nolan Traore from the French league. Was positioned to be top-10 pick as a guard in the draft but has slid due to a pretty poor season. That being said he's a big dude and has skills, unsure of why he slid in mocks so much because I didnt' catch his games, but his season stats were low.

Other than that there's surely ways to attract interest for a guard that can steady the rotation without gutting the roster, I think it's the biggest FA question MN faces after the Reid extension.

His shooting wasn't bad. It was HORRIBLE. I hear it got better at the end of the season.

So...ya I change my stance as that's not encouraging to hear... but ya thanks for the update. I need to check out all the 25 draft class players more, but I'm still invested in the Finals lol

Wolves aren't playing in this finals so I don't care much about it. The MVP Star of the Thunder is a foul merchant and the biggest flopper in the league. The star of the Pacers is classless making the choke gesture and should have cost his team that game with a tech on the spot.

I do acknowledge that Gilgeous-Alexander games the system for some calls -- he is a hell of a player overall, though annoying when it pays off, his game isn't completely predicated on that. Also as Twolves and Thunder are my #2 and #1 teams (respectively) until my dear Sonics return, so I'm fan-tractionally obligated to watch the Finals. Haliburton's re-enactment of Reggie's thing isn't classy but, so far the series is a pretty fun matchup between the two. I'm actually happy at whichever team eventually wins from Conf. Finals onward, thank goodness none of the old guard was there. Hoping for Wolves to make it to the NBA Finals proper in my lifetime bc I was at 2003-04's G7 vs Sacramento as my first playoff game ever, was amazing and I never forget that!

Game 7 vs Sacramento was the greatest moment in Wolves history and we would have won the title that year if we don't lose Cassell in the Lakers series.

I truly believe that Tre Jones could be a missing piece of our backcourt rotation. No, not as full time starter, but more as backup PG, T.J. McConnell type of high energy player.

Hmmmm….I’m not sure what else he’s supposed to say to that. Well, we love them, but Julius caps are ceiling so we absolutely expect them back unless Durants checks the yes box in the love letter we sent him?

It’s a lot easier, and wiser, for Chris Finch to say this instead of Tim Connelly. “Absolutely” was a strong word choice!

If this is true, we really need Gobert, who has good numbers with both. Randle-Naz pairings have not been good.

Upcoming Deadlines per Sportrac:
June 29, Minnesota has to decide whether to pick up the club options on Josh Minot and Luka Garza for the 25-26 season along with whether or not to guarantee Leonard Miller's contract for 25-26.
On June 28, Minnesota and Naz Reid are free to sign an extension. This is 2 days before Naz would have to decide whether to pick up his player option.
On June 29, Julius Randle has to decide whether or not to pick up his player option with Minnesota for 2025-26 season.

Does it means that earliest when any MIN trade might happen is June 29?

Either side doesn’t have to wait until the deadline date to pick up the options. Each player can’t be legally included in a trade unless they are under contract for next season. They can’t be expirings.

If any of those pieces are included, that is the earliest a trade call with the league could occur. However, Shams or Jon could report it any time before then.

Curious how Reaves would fit on this team? Perhaps he could pull an Alex Caruso?

So Caruso with no defense, but more playmaking?

People are discussing this right now on the Trades and Transactions board.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2464442#p119000480

This got some run, but Laker fans wanted more ..

Reaves for DDV + Minot or Miller + 17

The Lakers get a 3D guard and a FRP to go for a center.

The WOLVES get the guard they need who fits long-term and in terms of age and skill set.

Personally, I don’t like the fact that Reaves wouldn’t accept an extension on his current salary, and could simply walk next year, when many teams have cap space. I can understand the need for playmaking and three level scoring, but the defense is bad. Maybe I just have a dislike for the guy because of the way he is constantly adjusting his hair?

Yeah I’d prefer not to have him on the team. Especially after his playoff performance. I’m seeing too many trade ideas for players who play the same position.

How about acquiring Brooks? His defense would do wonders with this team.
