I just don’t see the KD appeal at this point. KD, Herro, and Bam will not get it done by any stretch of the imagination. I tuned out completely last season, so I don’t really know Ware, but it seems like the dude is a stud next to Bam. We are going to lose him for a 2 year rental of an old KD. I just don’t see the trade making sense. We should start from scratch in a full rebuild.

I'm more than good with a KD deal provided we aren't giving up Ware & can get off at least one of these bad contracts through a 3rd team.

I wonder if there's any more traction with Brooklyn being involved as a facilitator. The version of the deal floated where Phoenix ends up with Jovic and Claxton makes a ton of sense to me.

Buy cheap or walk away.

It's that simple.

Makes zero sense to sell our future for a 37YO.

Heat social media moving like these two are staying put. Starting to believe Biggs offer looks legit. We offering the Butler deal with added pick.

How do you suggest we improve this team without trades when free agency is essentially dead? Coming from a team that just lost in record fashion in the playoffs where a good amount of the roster looked like they just quit. Maybe sign Duncan to an extension?

The reality is we're all convinced we know the outcome of every deal and we really don't. Without a crystal ball into the future we can't say a KD/Herro/Bam trio couldn't contend, just like we cant say with certainty that a Dame/Jimmy/Bam core (or insert any other player) would have won. If you get a shot at a guy who can be a #1 scoring option without giving up the house its worth it.

We’ve got the potential to add one of the greatest players ever who fills a major need and still has a major impact on the game at 36. Yes the fans will be riled up and the trade machines will be getting heavy usage lol

Add one FRP going to BKN. I can get on board with this deal. Phoenix gets a young starting frontcourt with super complementary skillset squarely on Booker's timeline, a chance to bring back Jaime to rookie year status (and market him in Phoenix), and the cap relief via Duncan's contract that they desperately need. Brooklyn gets a FRP and a useful player in Wiggins with a nice 1-2 year window where they can pump & move him (send him to a contender for value now or wait a season and have a valued expiring + solid starting player combo for any trade).

Who is this deal not enough for?

Ah, so it looks like today it's going to be "The Raptors have a compelling offer" *Odds shoot up, then hours later Durant's camp leaks "He has no desire to play for Toronto."

My guess is tomorrow it'll be the Clippers.

Couldn't agree more.... There was a time when feeling perplexed when there was negative criticism for the Heat FO but now I understand especially when this same FO tries to warp on a narrative that 4 more games was that important over draft capital/position. This organization needs draft picks to rebuild.

Yeah that maybe reality and no one can know with certainty but that does not preclude analyzing which ever scenario and going in said direction. As stated here before, Miami hasn't won a title until we drafted the centerpiece. Not hard to understand why some desire to go in that direction.

Thankfully looks like PHX isn't interested in anything the Heat have to offer over HOU or SA assets.

Hence Hou and SA deals being done already, right?

Enough of Miami's position in these KD trade talks appears to be situated on a timeline that expires after the draft happens. Whichever way it goes, I just hope that actually means it won't be something Miami is still tentatively involved in past that point. In or out by draft night.

I woke up feeling charitable.

You can keep Jovic.

But Ware and Brad Marchand must be included.

Xoxo.
