In a larger multi-trade KD scenario the Ochai vs. Dick debate should loom larger. They're about the same salary for trade purposes, but Ochai is just playoff built. If you want to win more games just next year, he's one of the few guys who defends on the team. Dick can get Isaiah Joe'd pretty quickly in the playoffs.

As of today, Ochai is on another level than Dick. Raptors started Dick to help with the tank and keep his value high as a prospect in a potential trade while keeping Ochai's extension value low. This is what I tell myself lol.

I think it's his fallback option if the TX teams fail in their pursuit. He knows Riley will extend him, so may as well enjoy the weather and tax-free situation.

We don't know what he's spending yet so too early to say. If KD wants to re-up with us, we are re-upping him.

Re-signing a 38 year old KD for a 60mil/yr contract would be beyond brain dead.

It's still a bad idea to have that much of the cap tied up in a guy that old, even if he's producing. Unless we made it to the ECF the year prior, it ain't worth it.

If the KD trade goes down its going to be IQ/Yak/9th and after we are going to flip RJ to Blazers for either Timelord or Ayton....Sounds the most realistic...We get the "Big fish" and get a C in return as well....Then we would need to fill the PG spot up in another deal....Id try to get Walter Clayton Jr or Jase Richardson in the draft after all the moves are made.

This is a no brainer for Suns. If this was on the table, they are doing this in a heartbeat. No one is beating that. They get 2 players that fit perfectly for Booker (which now slides him to his natural Pos) and they get a solid Centre + 9

My bet is a 3 way deal with POR where 11 goes to PHX and we somehow keep 9

We then keep it if KM is our guy or use it to move back and get something else

Idk i think we may be putting that offer for KD atm and the Suns are using our offer to up the offers from the Rockets/Spurs....I think both Rockets/Spurs are not upping their offers....So it is possible that they could just end up accepting our offer if it stays on the table....I think its a waiting game atm and Suns are waiting for a team in pursuit to throw their best offers out....Which is obviously not happening right now...

I just don't think we're going after KD unless it costs next to nothing. 2 of those 3 players would leave a huge hole if traded and it would be for a position we have too much of. I think that report was using us a leverage. Now I can totally see Masai making offers for Booker, that would make way more sense

As long as the team is communicating with the players themselves, why should they? In the end, the stronger team is becoming weaker to become more beatable.

Sorry Yak and IQ alone won't get a deal done or close to done....Minny can offer Gobert....9th pick would have to be added for a realistic trade to be accepted by the Suns POV....Or they would just trade him to Minny for Gobert....But i get why people think it would be an over pay but gotta also look at the Suns POV and what they are obviously wanting in this trade....I doubt Yak/IQ would be enough for them.

Raptors: KD + Robert Williams + Simons
Suns: Poeltl + IQ + Castleton + 11th pick
Blazers: RJ + Dick + 9th Pick

I'm not sure about all the other pieces but I would love to get Robert Williams from the Blazers assuming he's healthy now. The guy is an absolute physical beast.
