The Pacers, obviously coming off the finals and maybe a championship, now have 4 1sts available for trade.

This was a cost cutting move and all they got was control of there pick next year which is going to be late anyway. They need every dollar to keep that team together and not get too heavy into the tax

For sure but they got quite a bit more flexibility now too if they wanted to do something big trade related

Speaking of which, very soon Pat Riley will assume the correct posture: bent over.

Xoxo.

The could keep him never works. This is desperation now. See Harden with Philly and how that worked.

Throwback to when Bam almost beat the Cavs AND Terry Rozier in the same game.

Cool to see the Suns keep him. Take their medicine. Lose a bunch of money. Get nothing for him. While a team that was built with no defense continues to flail for another season.

Does this Gambo guy ever even mention PHX's debilitating cap situation?

I only ask bc he clearly shapes the narrative that PHX fandom ends up adopting. So, if he is just getting everyone up in arms with ignorance then it's kinda damaging.

Edit: side note--I remember Gambo being a trusted source for PHX back when Miami was in pursuit of Lillard and Ayton was becoming a core development in all that. He was not nearly as unprofessional or attempting to be manipulative as we're seeing now.

Spurs have to hold tight and wait on Giannis and not waste any potential deal breaking assets on KD.

Cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Phoenix could take a pass in the summer and see if deals improve at the trade deadline, but the structural problems don't go away: Durant's decision to extend or not is a key part of what teams will be willing to give up.

Miami went through this with Butler, except there was confrontation between Butler and the FO. Durant gets the most F'd in this scenario with Phoenix themselves a close 2nd.

Inept management from Phoenix.

They’re not even a worry to me tbh, Houston should do the same but I’m just worried Houston finally decides to get it done or some team goes the Kawhi route and doesn’t care if KD doesn’t want them like Minnesota but apparently they’re hesitant to do that
