given the Suns position…keeping Booker long term, stuck with Beal, left with no choice but to retool (instead of completely rebuild) and get some serviceable players in a KD deal, particularly in need of a good starting C for years now…Wolves and Raps have the best realistic deals for the Suns

and if Wolves won’t do the deal due to KD’s lack of commitment to them? looks like it’s up to Masai and whether he will give up the 9th pick…

unfortunately looks like it will take the 9th pick (with Poeltl and RJ) since Spurs are offering the 14th pick…don’t think a future 1st will hold as much value since Raps should be good with KD

I think if the trade gets the Suns under the 2nd apron they would be able to aggregate salaries in the trade. The Suns are reportedly willing to decline Vasilije Micic's team option and waive Cody Martin (who has $0 guaranteed next season) to help them get under the 2nd apron.

If they did that, KD plus Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale (both of whom are also reportedly available for trade to help the Suns duck the 2nd apron) for IQ+RJ+Poeltl+9 would get the Suns under the 2nd apron.

But Suns reddit is also saying this post took what Gambo said out of context, and he actually meant IQ or RJ, not both.
