This forum really loves to hit a player when they are down. I don't think you'll find many, if any, Pacer fans on here that called Haliburton a "superstar". There's only a slim few of those, 4 or 5 maybe. Some overzealous fans and the talking heads went back and forth every other game. A subpar finals doesn't change what he's done for most of the season and playoffs. Against the historically greatest defense/team in history, who's main objective was to stop him.

He's already beat OKC more than the entire Eastern Conference combined, losers.

The over exaggerations about how bad he is comical and filled with salt.

He was voted NBA 3rd team 2 years in a row. He's broke assist to turnover and efficiency records that have stood for 30+ years in the last few seasons. Maybe the most historic clutch playoff run in history. Besides very few bad games in the playoffs, he has been pretty freaking good.

For the 2024-25 season. Advanced stats he is in the top 10 of most categories.
Top 5 of most offensive advanced stats. (Jokic, SGA, Giannis consistently leading 1, 2, 3 in that order in most adv metrics)
OWS 3rd (1st Jokic, 2nd SGA)
WS 6th
BPM 7th
VORP 4th
OBPM 5th
LEBRON 5th

Nah the players who actually win in the finals go down as one of the greatest NBA players of all time. Everybody doesn't get a trophy.

I love how today we are back to Hali being overrated and J-Dub going from "he ain't it" back to "the best player of the 2022 draft". Based on that alone I almost hope that Hali gets 50 next game while shooting perfectly from the field, while J-Dub scores no points besides one time by accident in the own basket  .

I know he’s battling injuries and that sucks, but damn, better just to not play. Doing this actively hurts your team maybe even more than not playing and letting someone else have the spotlight.

Quite a few MVPs and superstars on that list. And there are a few games missing. Like Durant going 7-33 from the field with 1 Assist and 7 Turnovers in 2016. Pippen going 2-16 in the 99 finals. Someone else already mentioned Reggie Miller going 1-16 in the 2000 finals.

My bad, of course the 98 finals, in 99 it was a 0 from 7 game and a 6 from 23 game, both in the 1st round.

He sucked but he got them here in the first place. OKC defended him extremely well too, give them credit.

SGA had a 14 pt game where he shot 30% against Minny. Bad games happen to everyone.

Not a one off during this run though.

Game 3 vs the Cavs: 4 Pts (2 of 8 FG), 5 Ast (3 TO), 0 Reb

Game 5 vs the Knicks: 8 Pts (2 of 7 FG), 6 Ast (0 TO), 2 Reb

Last night vs Thunder: 4 Pts (0 of 6 FG), 6 Ast (3 TO), 7 Reb

Borderline meh game

Game 4 vs the Cavs: 11 Pts (3 of 8 FG), 5 Ast (2 TO), 5 Reb

So the four wins don’t count?

Not enought o put him 2nd behind Jordan....but lets not derail this thread by comparing Hali to the one that does not like to compete.

Time to move on from the bitterness rhodey, it's been 15 years since LeBron broke your heart in 2010 free agency. Let it go.

 somebody has Rhodey on the brain....I wanted him pre team hopping...before showed his true non competitive nature and hurt his legacy....but after he showed what he was about it was a hard pass...now could you please stop derailing poor Halliburton?

Nobody in the entire NBA history can accomplished what LeBron has done in 2007 and 2018 playoffs with his lottery squad. It's way more competitive in comparison to what your Knicks accomplished in the last 25 years in the playoffs, 2 Finals berth and 6 playoffs series win in 2 years by LeBron over 0 Finals berth and 5 playoffs series win by the Knicks in 25 years so take your non competitive nature argument in the thrash. Let it go dude and stop derailing the thread of the dad of your Knicks squad with your LeBron hate.

Why are people acting like Haliburton isn't a pass first pg? Obviously wasn't a good game but it's not like this was Edwards, Booker, etc. Not right to reduce his value to FGs made

I hate a lot of those metrics like WS and BPM/VORP but your overall point is correct. Huge overreaction and not really fair to capture his value from scoring alone

Plus the Thunder have been embarrassing elite players all season
