If I had to rank the assets rumored/speculated to be on the table between Minnesota, Houston, and San Antonio:

#10
---
#14
Rudy Gobert
Rob Dillingham
---
#20
Jeremy Sochan
Dillon Brooks
---
Donte Divincenzo
Jalen Green
---
Devin Vassell
Harrison Barnes

miami

all the contenders dont really need to cash up for a player like kd. this is parity and the teams are either set or in a youth movement

miami is not a contender but kd could make them one IN THE EAST, and it would be a graceful exit

While I like KD to us for the right price, I'm glad to just be a fan and not a GM. After a #2 or Castle insistence I'd have told Ishbia what to do with himself. With several four-lettered, hypthenated words before and after.

As a fan, I am getting a bit of trade speculation fatigue. I trust PATFO to do right by the team and right by Wemby and that these two align. Hope to welcome KD to the Spurs Family. What will be will be.

If you believe that the Spurs should give up the #2 pick for Kevin Durant, you're just jealous you don't have the pick & you want to sabotage the very good fortune they have

We need a poll here!

My guess is Houston, or Miami, if the Suns want to move him to the East.

Feels like it's down to Miami and Houston.

I think the Miami offer is pretty soft more geared towards cap flexibility. The rumor insider offer is a Jimmy like trade. Wiggins, Highsmight, D.Rob + 20 and swap. We could in theory take back one of their bad contract in our Jimmy TPE. Riley definitely not trading Jovic (imo they have an extension agreement already) or Ware. So that sorta leaves JJJr which also might not be available either who knows. Spo wants KD though.

I just hope this doesn't drag out all summer like the Dame situation from 2 years ago.

Houston just needs to get it done. Miami is offering scraps.

It's going to be SA. All of this is a lot of posturing and fluff from PHX side but KD will be a Spur next week, just watch

houston feels like the right fit to me and has felt that way all year. they can trade from a position of strength to get him.

Think Houston ends up with Jaylen Brown if Boston is willing to move him. They could do a really sneaky Spurs style rebuild if they toss in the towel for next season. Boston sells high on him they tank into the loaded draft and pick who they want JT's next running mate is.

I'd argue KD fills Houston's biggest holes at a fraction of the price it'd take to get him.

Agreed. The Rockets have everything in place except for the role of the scorer and last shot taker. KD fits the bill perfectly -- but not at the expense of the future. Jalen Green is not a part of the future, and Cam Whitmore isn't either. Any combination of those players and a pick is all I'm willing to give up if I'm running the Rockets. But when you start weighing the potential of Jabari Smith Jr against the idea of a sunset KD the deal falls apart for me.

Grizzlies just entered the KD sweepstakes. Any thoughts on the package?

Jabari Smith Jr. is not a deal breaker for me as a Rockets’ fan. He’s had three years to show what he can be, and that looks to be a useful role player at best. Kevin Durant addresses the vast majority of the Rockets’ weaknesses. He’s a great scorer and shooter that can be the number one option for a team starving for one. Also, the Rockets can put a team of strong defenders like Amen Thompson, Tari Eason, and either Fred VanVleet or Dillon Brooks around both (could be both Brooks and VanVleet if neither have to be used to match KD’s salary).

Do the Rockets have to trade for Durant? No. But, they better be careful with just expecting internal improvement to take them where they want to go. The Thunder are much better. If the Spurs get Durant, they’ll be better than Houston. As I’ve said before, Memphis was a previous young, trendy tram in the Western Conference. Look at them now.

The deal that makes the most sense for the Rockets is FVV/Cam/Phx 27 pick. I'm not sold on Jalen but his vaule is at an all time low after the playoffs. I'd rather keep him and see how he fits with KD.

Don't want KD personally as a Rockets fan, due to age, contract and sacrificing youth.

He fits on older teams and we can find better options in the future.
