It will all depend on what the MRI shows. Hali has pushed to play through injuries in the past.

Now, that's just revisionist BS. Before the series, people were complaining about how lopsided the Finals would be because OKC was so much better than us. People had OKC winning in a sweep, 5 at most.

But we made it a series exactly because this team ain't soft.

I had it a 50 50 series before game one ....pacers got dogs and grit but when you can't rebound and can't get north and south vs physical defense that's called soft. Hali has a soft step back and prance play style.

When you allow jdub to put his shoulder down and bulldoze your entire defense. That's called soft. And that one is on Rick.

Not a smart decision in any case. But that's the reality of sports. Unless you're 2015-2019 Warriors or 2011-2018 LBJ there's no guarantee you'll get back to the finals. Thus, you might as well roll the dice and live with the results.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

He would hurt the team more than helping if he played without 100% health against this Thunder team

LoveMyRaps wrote:Rick Carlisle has been terrible in these finals.

His rotations make ZERO sense.

Playing an "injured" Hali more minutes than a red hot Pascal last game made no sense.

He subbed out Pascal in the 4th quarter when the lead was cut to 2, and the Thunder pulled away with Siakam on the bench.

TJ was unstoppable in that 3rd quarter and didn't get to play in the 4th...

So many examples of how badly Rick has been outcoached here in these finals...

I didn't like him pulling TJ in game 6 either.

Carlisle has done some good things in this series and these playoffs. I think he's gotten better than prior years. Game 6 was his worst performance when it comes to rotations and adjustments. Daignault's had his share of that too so it's about even. Him pulling TJ, (Pascal needed some rest), and not putting TJ back in, and not using Pascal in the last 3-5 minutes of the game to me were the biggest mistakes of the entire series.

Are we going to see The Extender tomorrow also or is he just there when OKC needs him?

Every injury is different. I don’t think he should play if there is potential for more serious injury but I have info in which to base an opinion. Likely if he plays in a limited capacity the team has very low chance of winning. Maybe play him off-ball and just use him for spacing. If he doesn’t play, again the Pacers have little chance though maybe crowd energy, Thunder let down, something crazy happens.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I've said OKC in 7 from day one. The only thing that would make me back off that is Hali not being able to go, or being so limited it hurts the team. But Carlisle will have these guys ready to go, and that crowd is going to be insane. I lean towards the Pacers winning this one, though that's not good for my blood pressure.

If any team can "afford" to lose their star player for a game or two, it's the Pacers. We've got Nembhard and McConnell who are both highly capable of filling in, and our team is the least top-heavy of any team in the league. It will be a struggle, sure, but people counting the Pacers out entirely are fooling themselves. The Pacers can - and WILL - weather this trouble and achieve one of the greatest upsets in basketball history. Just you wait and see!!!!

I absolutely love this. Pacers fans have every reason to be confident in this team. I hope you're wrong, but I certainly can't rule it out. Here's to an exciting wrap up to the series, one way or another.
