loved the "get serious" segment on LoH today. true words were spoken.
so many twigs on this team.
how many guys on our roster hold up mentally and physically thru a playoff grind to finals?
It's crazy how many players I've seen in these playoffs sprain an ankle. And my first instinct from watching the Hornets for the past 5 years is, oh **** well that guy's season is over. And they go back in the tunnel and they come back five minutes later and they play through an obvious sprained ankle.
I agree with what Doug said, I don't think melo is soft, He grew up with two older brothers. But you can tell from that tattoo picture today that he doesn't really give a **** about the weight room.
And I was actually thinking this yesterday about tiddy, And Doug mentioned it today. He may not pan out but there's no way it will be due to lack of effort and trying. I think there's only one guy, maybe two, on the roster that might outwork tiddy this summer, and that's moose and maybe, Grant rehabbing that injury.
count the twigs on our roster
1. melo
2. miller
3. mark
4. mann
5. nsj
6. ?
And some of those guys even with the best weight training in the world aren't ever gonna be strong, but damn, at least try. We've been saying it for two years that this team lacked functional nba strength up and down the roster. It certainly wasn't as bad by the end of the year last year as it was the previous year since the new regime has kind of gotten a little bit more serious about adding players with nba strength - grant, moose, tiddy, nurk, okogie all come to mind... and kj for a little dude is fierce and tough as nails.
I'm really hoping that for some of the guys on this roster that it's really just been the injuries and the unfortunate timing of them always heading into off season that has hurt them in terms of strength conditioning. Well in the fact that our previous owners didn't give two **** about investing in a staff that was up to standards.
