Another bad one involving AD
Miami: Anthony Davis, Caleb Martin, Jaden Hardy
--The Heat cash in on AD without giving up Bam or Herro. Rozier can still run the point to form very formidable lineup in the East. They bring back Caleb who was at his best in Heat culture
Dallas: Duncan Robinson, Kyle Anderson, Josh Green, Josh Okogie, Jared McCain, 2027 Mavs FRP returned (via Cha), 2029 MIA FRP, 2031 Mia FRP
--Mavs go with the Flagg timeline and getting their pick back from Cha helps. McCain should slide in very nicely with Flagg/PJ/Lively, even with Ky when he returns, they also scoop up some much needed picks
Philly: Jaime Jacquez Jr, Nikola Jovic
--If rumors are true and Philly is zeroing in on VJ Edgecomb, Jacquez and Jovic are nice additions for depth and in the starting lineup when needed.
Cha: Andrew Wiggins, #20 pick via Mia
--The Hornets get Wiggins who would be a solid starter and also the #20 pick this year, they also get to dump Green and Okogie, all it essentially costs is giving Dallas their pick back.

MEM trades: edit 16, 2028 ORL 1st, 2030 ORL 1st, GG Jackson
NOP trades: 7 (assume Kneuppel is available)
Let's say New Orleans is interested in Fears but he is gone at 7. Memphis trades for a high lottery pick while keeping their best asset from the Bane deal. New Orleans moves down, but adds two future picks and a prospect who has looked pretty interesting.

Which teams without a first round pick in 2026 is willing to take CJ McCollum or Dejounte Murray for the Milwaukee 2026 first round pick?

1) Doesn't NO have the best of their own pick and Mil's (I think Mil has the worst of the two). So this would also be trading away the Pels own 2026 1st?
2) With Murray out for the year isn't keeping McCollum as a 1 year stop-gap PG a good idea?
3) I'm skeptical that using a bunch of value to dump Murray is a great idea, though I guess if Dumars is full win-now it would happen.

Assuming that since the Pels don't own the 2026 Bucks FRP outright that this is the NOP pick with the MIL swap rights.
Utah (likely) isn't without a FRP, but would be interested. Not with #5 included as in your other thread, but something could be worked out.

Mem has 16 not 18, and I think they value GG more than just to throw into this which imo is an overpayment already without him. IMO Kneuppel is not worth it.

I don’t think that New Orleans would go for it, but I think that #16, #48, cash, and ORL 2030 FRP (or 2028 if New Orleans prefers, though I wouldn’t) is pretty close to enough value for #7. Could throw in #56 and/or a future second or two to pad it out because it feels a little light, but unprotected picks are good currency for trades in the modern NBA.

I like Knueppel very much, but that valuation almost assumes he becomes an all star. It's extremely high, you might get #3 at that price.

Can anyone explain why Toronto keeps getting floated as a KD destination? He doesn't make that roster a contender, especially when they give up their underrated starting C. KD/Ingram/Barnes has to be the most Mid Three ever. I just don't get what Masai is doing here. Make it make sense

Masai contract renewal coming up is my guess.
Got to look active in the star transactions.
But also, Raps aren't that far off from playoffs. A Durant addition gets them to the 2nd round in the East

To sell jerseys, create buzz and try and sneak into the playoffs.

I like this better if Dallas gets Jovic and Jacquez. That way I don't have to be mad at you.

Should be interesting. New owners often are over involved over aggressive and set teams back 2-4 years in their first year or two.

2 years back for the Lakers would still be progress

Re: Rumors, Random Thoughts, and non-Threadworthy Posts 18.0 Dave Cowens drove a taxi
Why in the world would the Wizards do that? Poole, the way he played last year, isn't a negative contract. Smart's expiring and a defensive worker so while a negative contract, he's at least a good influence. Lilliard with that player option is a huge bad contract. 2 2nds isn't the kind of incentive that bridges that gap.

Correct me if I am wrong, but for the 24/25 league year they are well above the 2nd apron, so it is literally impossible for them to trade for Durant now (because they can't aggregate salaries, which they will have to do to acquire KD, and stay above the 2nd apron).
They'd have to wait for the 25/26 league year to pull off the deal. And to me it seems like it would be super problematic to announce that trade so far in advance of when it can become final.
You’re right. Scroll back three posts for specifics, if you’re interested.
They can agree to the deal at the draft and execute it after the new league year. Wolves draft for the Suns. It happens a lot.

Feels like Trae should be worth (a good amount) more than one first and double layered swaps more than Poole and Washington should want more value than that to do Poole/Dame.. can’t see why Washington doesn’t cut out Milwaukee, even if it’s too early to give up on the rebuild in Washington.
But if Milwaukee can pull it off, they definitely should.
