I have a tough time seeing that we can get anything of quality from a RJ/IQ trade though.

Like I said in previous threads, absolutes are absolutely invalid.

Additionally, RJ would be an ideal 6th man on our current team with Ochai moving to the starting lineup. If RJ develops his shot and passing acumen further - a distinct possibility because he’s young enough to - he’s firmly a starter and we will be winning, in earnest.
I believe in Masai.

Doubt Windy says this if its not True....The 9th pick , some combination of the Yak/RJ/IQ have been offered....Yak prolly for sure since thats one of Suns wants in a KD trade....Wonder if contract length is playing a part though since Yak is a free agent soon they will need a commitment from him long term....

#9 and some players is what he said. He did not say Jak, RJ or IQ. We are just speculating that.

I’m content with the Raptors facilitating trades, but I hope we get actual pieces and not a precious redux.

I think our biggest hole-and most Suns fans would agree is that we lack a PG. So I would assume the deal has to have IQ in it-unless the team wants 1 of those Euro PGs (Demin/Jakucionus) at your pick.

Me personally, I'd like to get the pick, Peotl and IQ, then maybe send IQ and our #29 onto to New Orleans for Zion.

For you guys, Scottie and KD seem like they'd be a great fit together and the east will be very weak next year. I dont see any reason why you can't be there with Indy/CLV/NYC with the scoring you'll have.

I can think of a couple reasons... We wouldn't have a starting PG or starting C, not to mention we don't even currently have a backup C... so we'd be opening up 2 holes in our starting lineup without the ability to fill them adequately once we factor in Durant's $60M salary.

Yeah. I've thought about that. We can send Nick Richards and/or our #29 pick. That would help bridge the gap IMO.

Richardson isn't much but he played well back in Charlotte and he can do the basics. With Scottie and KD there to handle the ball, you won't need a true PG. A 3&D guy might be enough.....

Yep if i had to guess if the Raptors/Suns deal goes down the deal will look something like...

IQ/Yak/9th
For
KD/Richards/29th

More moves will be made following the KD trade for us....We would use RJ to fill holes in the team...If that be for another draft pick or a starting C....Or for a PG....The 29th pick can also get us a player at a position of need....

Yeah it does...if RJ is going to a 3rd team then it will work on all sides. IQ+RJ is enough outgoing salary on the Raptors end, and RJ going to a 3rd team means it's fine for Phoenix too. The 3rd team would obviously be adding some salary to match as well.

But also Sidery is a hack so if this is his own reporting I definitely don't believe it.

Just hard to see the Suns doing the deal unless something good is coming back to them in the RJ deal as well....The 3rd team could be Nets....Picks 19/26 going to suns as well?...Idk but it sounds like fake news to me....But if we keep Yak in the deal its better than what i thought...

It would essentially mean we turned OG/siakam/our 2025 FRP into Durant, Ingram, shead, agbaji, mogbo

KD would love our social media fan base tho. Use them as attack dogs, this guy would have any army.

Do you guys think Ingram can still grow his game and learn from KD?
Dejounte has said how bad the Pelicans organization has been. Probably held Ingram back as well.

Maybe Masai see's Ingram as a long term player here and would overpay a bit to get KD here to win now and help Ingram grow his game.

And find a place he can peacefully call his NBA home. He's left a sour taste on every team he has played for. I feel like one of the few stars who has no place to call home in the NBA.

If you ignore it's 37 year old KD for one year and the context of the supporting cast then yeah it sounds good.

wait, who would the third team be?

if they're blowing it up for KD, then they should try to add Atlanta as a third team and get Trae

Trae
KD
BI
Scottie
Jak
