I've always liked Jabari Smith Jr in theory, and it's nice to have a PF that can hit 3s. I don't know how good his defense is, but obviously JJJ is one of the best in the NBA. Also, JJJ averages 1.6 blk and 1.2 spg while Jabari Smith is at .7 and .4. Those are VERY low #s for a PF of his size, which worries me a little for projection purposes. Tari Eason is similar in a lot of areas, though he averages 1.7 spg in over 5 fewer minutes. Steals has always been seen as the best long term translation of college/NBA guys, so that has me a little concerned about his upside overall including defense. I wonder who Houston values more highlly, Smith or Eason. Eason also shoots significantly better from 2 (55.7% vs 51.9%), and slighly worse from 3. Smith is younger though and I do like him.

BW, you'll love this. I'm bringing back the classics with my trades:

What if we use KD to leverage into a Zion deal?

Toronto: Durant

Pels: Quickly/Grayson

Us: Zion/Poetl/#9

Take a PG like the Jakucionus kid from Illinois and..

Jaku
Booker
Dunn
Zion
Poetl

Beal/Richards/Oso off the bench.

Sure I'm all for it. Is Zion's value now Quickly and Grayson Allen?

Heck, people are saying Trey Murphy III is worth 5 firsts now after the Bane deal. That seems like a lot, but is his value THAT much higher than Zion's?

They do need a PG, and IQ isn't a bum he's pretty good and can elevate them. If they wanna win next year.

I kinda feel we can steal him as Dumars isn't all about him. It would help if they could draft another face of the team.

For the record though, I would put Trey Murphy's value as higher than Zion.

Also I'd have no problem sending the #29 pick to help make it happen as well.

Why not? We know ISH is after JJJ

JJJ is tricky as he only makes 23.4 and is due for an extension
Cole Anthony cannot be combined in a trade I do not believe
and I don't think KCP can as well since the trade was official and I am not sure either can be traded for 60 dyas

C'mon you guys...I tried to ignore...we are not getting JJJ for KD. JJJ is better than KD at this point overall and is a top 15 player in the NBA.

If we got a big name offered from Memphis it wound be Ja....doubtful and I don't know but their backup PG played well this season and they could plug him in along with Wells, KD, JJJ and Edey. Ja is injured a lot too.

What's funny is I seen something that was on the other end of the spectrum, the Grizzlies use the picks from the Magic trade to get Devin Booker to partner up with Ja and JJJ. The piece I read mentioned the Grizzlies offer would be enticing for the Suns because it would offer up the Suns own 2026 pick.

It was a very GoK style post I seen if the Grizzlies had a fan similar to GoK.

That 2026 pick is swapped to hell anyway lol so much misinformation online and misguided fans. Like the people running with that gambo line and thinking that meant IQ/RJ/Poetl and 9 were all on the table when those 3 guys together don't work cap wise. Clearly just one of IQ/RJ with Poetl+9

KD would lose about $4 million in taxes going to the Raptors. I remember seeing a podcast from some players talking about how nobody ever wants to play for the Raptors because of finances.

Not sure if this was posted but yikes.
Makes KD for No 2 pick, Harrison Barnes and Keldon Johnson look a lot nicer.

Still believe Giannis will force a trade to Knicks before deadline, Bucks are stagnating and the team will be force to accommodate Giannis because they lack assets.

So KD killed a trade that would have brought us Claxton, other pieces and picks! I honestly don't care what he wants. After all, he cost us the majority of our players and assets, then made it worse by promoting trading for Beal. And now he's willing to screw our entire future just to try and get what he wants at a minimum cost after we gave up so much to accommodate things for him??

How much is enough money to make millionaires happy? Like once you’re in the millionaire club for simply playing basketball, at what point should you be appreciative of what you have for simply playing a sport for half a year and getting paid millions while Americans work 40-60 hours a week and come home and play basketball for free.

Sorry if I find no sympathy for professional athletes and what they think they “deserve” or want.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

Sure! But no longer have the contracts to make it happen legally! Well done Memphis! I'd love to figure out a 3 way deal that sends other pieces out from Memphis to a 3rd team for assets, and then they can have KD for some players and our PHX 26' 1st and two other 1sts??

But it'd have to be revisited around the deadline most likely once KCP and Anthony become eligible to be traded??

It sounds like they are willing to trade all three in order to get KD. Send Barrett elsewhere in order to obtain more draft capital to get KD. Quickley has 4 more years at $32.5 million a year til 2028-29 season. It's not exactly the most attractive contract, though I would say it is probably fair for his production value... if he was healthy. This past season he only played 33 games.

I beg to differ!! KD doesn't have a NTC, and honestly, he's not really done us any favors overall. The Suns front office should just send his azz to Toronto for that package being offered and be done with this entire nonsense!

We're not at all required to accommodate him after all we've given up for him. Our franchises' future matters a whole lot more than KDs' feelings.

Exactly!!! Now go take the Toronto offer and give all the teams that thought they could lowball us for KD the finger on the way to the league office!

By the way, Now that Memphis has traded Bane for both KCP and Anthony, they'll need actual shooters at the 2/3 because KCP and Anthony aren't it. O'neale for Konchar/ Huff/ 48th pick/ ATL 27' 2nd?
