So if we keep Poeltl, then wow that’s huge…

So we got to find a way (3 team deal) to turn RJ + IQ + 9th into Durant + Nick Richards + 29

Then we have this roster
Barnes/Shead
Ochai/Dick
Ingram/Walter
Durant/Mogbo
Poeltl/Richards

With more depth coming from picks 29 and the second rounder. Ngl… on paper this looks enticing

I'm on board the chaos train, but IQ+RJ+9th for 1 year of KD is kinda wild lol

This kind of illustrates the issue with a KD trade: You're either opening up a hole at point, or at center by doing this. And if for some ungodly reason you're giving up pick #9, your avenues to fill in that PG or C hole become a lot more limited.

Like what are your options for a replacement PG? Coby White who isn't exactly a great defender and has never averaged more than, what, 6 assists in a season? Who you have to pay in the offseason or risk him leaving?

First deal i posted was us keeping Ochai and Nets just get RJ/Allen ....But i figure if they are giving up claxton and a first/2nd they will need at least a sweetner with Ochai....

I think they might actually plan on playing Scottie at point guard and hope Dick/Ingram/KD is enough to keep the spacing decent. Sounds terrible to me but maybe they are banking on Scottie always having a mismatch because the best defenders are on KD and Ingram, making playing PG a lot easier. Idk :-?

I don't think the Bulls trade Coby for a bad pick and salary either and might just keep him till the deadline where teams will be more willing to cough stuff up for a 6th man that can take a team over the top.

Maybe they try and nab a Traore or another PG in the draft

I don't think we have the necessary assets to both trade for KD or Giannis and then be a true contender.

Trey Murphy is the only realistic guy available I want to look at trading 9 for. Not sure how a deal for him would get done but I would give RJ, 9 and a future lotto protected first. Also they can have Ochai.

Other than that just make the pick and see what this group can do.

Just put Barnes at the PG because of the report we want Dick to start....Thats the only way it makes sense....KD also brings the ball up as well so it would not be all Barnes being the PG....But who knows how it could play out....Maybe we get the 19th pick and draft Jase or Walton Clayton to be the PG...

90% of this fan base would rather watch paint dry than watch dennis play for this team again.

Okay things are making more sense if there is other teams involved as hinted by Evan Sidery. This seems to work financially:

Phoenix
Immanuel Quickley
#9 2025 FRP from Raps
#26 2025 FRP from Brooklyn
2027 FRP from Raps

Brooklyn
RJ Barrett (easily becomes one of the best players on their team)

Toronto
KD
Derick Whitehead

Most people view RJ as a “toxic asset” with very little trade value on this board.

So to them it’s really just IQ + #9 for KD

you must have forgotten a Brooklyn player in there and let's remove that #9 2025 FRP from Raps. IQ and RJ is a huge haul already..In RJ, it is like getting 3 FRPs. Under 25: there are only 11 players averaging over 21pts and only 3(I believe) averaging 20+5+5...RJ

We really should not have to include any pick for a 37yearold (okay his body may feel more like 33)

We need better PG play, not sure which vets would be available. Scottie ain't it unfortunately. That's not his position.

I really hope someone else gets him.

I don’t like the idea of trading our only lottery pick for years to come for a rental especially when we won’t even have a complete or experienced roster to really make a run.

Based on how much a team of KD, Booker and Beal struggled without a real PG I think we can infer this plays out poorly. All these guys are secondary playmakers, they need a floor general. And even if you do somehow acquire one, it means bumping Gradey out the starting lineup leaving KD and BI as the only shooters...I don't see how we're not just recreating a worse versions of the last few Suns teams (KD + Booker > 37 y/o KD + BI).
