just watched mike brown on matt barnes's podcast. he definitely talks like the kinda coach the knicks would like, and it seems like players respect him. there's something to say about having coached kobe and lebron. i can't believe i'm talking myself into it, but if it's one of the likelier outcomes, i can live with it depending on who his bench hires are

this is the knicks own fault. this was a clown show. they're supposed to back channel to see what coach actually wanted to leave and then go after that one only.

i heard bob myers say that a lot of these teams aren't going to want to deal with the knicks because they cost them money unnecessarily.

She literally complained about how Jenkins would put Ja Morant back in the game down 11 with 4 minutes left in the game. As soon as she said that, I stopped the video. The girl Knows nothing about NBA basketball.

Honestly, I interpreted that as large lead/deficit, little time left. Probably misspoke.

I'm not convinced it wasn't agent favors on our end. Like, we were interested but also angling to get these guys their money. The Mavs and us ain't cool to begin with. We haven't done a lot of business with the Bulls in awhile. It would be too bad if we sullied the TWolves/Hawks/Rockets relationships.

I live in SAC, and the diehards I know were not unhappy with Brown. His firing wasn't seen as a solution or step forward in the eyes of the King's fans I know who are as passionate about their team as we are.

He thinks Taylor Jenkins already interviewed this week, with Mike Brown interviewing next. He said if he had to guess right now he would say Jenkins leader in clubhouse. He believes the Knicks will hire a coach who is established. Said the Knicks are leaning toward experience over an assistant coach with no head coaching experience.

Cooper Flagg spent an eventful day-plus in Dallas on his lone pre-draft visit with an NBA team:

Flagg had dinner Tuesday night at Dallas' famed Bob's Steak & Chop House with several Mavericks officials. General manager Nico Harrison and coach Jason Kidd essentially served as co-chairs of a welcoming committee that also included new team CEO Rick Welts and former Mavericks All-Star-turned-assistant GM Michael Finley. Flagg, who would not have been eligible for this draft if he was born a mere 11 days later, attended the meal solo.
