Wonder what happened when they tried that in the closeout game. Anyone in here wanna refresh my memory?
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Would you guys make a move for KD?

I don't know if we have enough without Reaves, but Jimmy literally just was moved for a 1st and Wiggins. I view Rui and Wiggins as similar. KD is on a higher level than Jimmy ofc, but hes a couple of years older. Is Knecht enough of a difference

Rui+Knecht+Vando+Gabe+Kleber+31 1st

Can AR, Milton, and Goodwin get you Herb Jones and Alvarado?

Luka, Herb, KD, Bron, C with the mle (such as Capela)
Alvarado, DFS

Looking at this....pretty rough. Even if Bron took a paycut and we can split the MLE, pretty tough

Really? Is Herb worth more than AR? He wasn't a very good 3 point shooter last season

On second thoughts, I don't think we can give up AR unless we get a 3rd ball handler

Not sure if Cp3 would be sufficient enough or if we need a bigger threat there

Best realistic POA defender is Wiggins, then it can be Jrue. But Jrue has a pretty bad contract and his offense looks to be slipping. Not sure I would want to offer much more than 2 expirings, Vando, and 1-2 swaps (depending on protections).

I would love Derrick White, but I don't see Boston moving him to us

Finally free from Bussdown. LeBron wasn’t ever leaving LA, so this is the next best thing. Now time to fire Pelinka and hire a real GM.

Better late than never. Luka's setup well going forward at least

Sadly could have used this some years back to bring back Caruso and maybe gotten someone better than Pelinka (no backup C for years or a guy next to AD even as an option is horrific)

But some good news I guess, maybe more money for luxury tax, assistant coaches and buying 2nds?

Hoping we see some deals soon. Thoughts on Ayton? Would you go Rui, Vando, Knecht? If they want Vincent expiring instead of Vando, maybe ask for a future 2nd. A big issue with Ayton is the salary, cant afford a guy like Wiggins anymore ad POA/Wing defender

If Dillon Brooks was shipped, maybe we could get involved with Kleber and Vando/Vincent and a 1st

Then pray Lebron takes a large paycut and can use full mle on a guy like NaW (or split with a couple playable guys)

Luka, Brooks, DFS, Bron, Ayton
NaW, Reaves, Hayes?

Need some FA vet min miracles

I think I will pass on Rw3, too injury prone. If we cant get anyone below, maybe we look at it as a high risk high reward move and need a starting C to split min

Top targets would be Ayton, Kessler, and Allen.

All of those would be great and basically perfect fits for whats possibly out there. Ayton salary is high, but I don't think he costs more than 1 of Knecht or a 1st. Kessler and Allen would require both, and swaps to even have a chance

Cheaper trade targets would be Gafford, Claxton, Goga

None are perfect, Gafford is prob the best bet there, but I dont see Mavs trading with us rn

Then between Claxton and Goga may depend on the cost. Could we get Goga and Rw3 for just 1 of Knecht or the 1st protected and unload Vando?

RW3 is injury prone but he's also the best guy available when healthy.

You think hes better than Allen or Kessler?

And how many games has he played the last few years?

If were taking a risk on RW3, need to have a more stable C like Goga and even a stretch big like Jaylin Williams or Horford with the smaller mle to go double bigs?

Knecht+Kleber/Gabe for Goga+Howard+a 2nd
Gabe/Kleber expiring +Shake+2 2nds for Rw3

Vando+Rui+1st for Wiggins/Brooks (if moved out for KD/Giannis)

Luka, Wiggins, DFS, Bron, Goga
Reaves, ??, ??, Horford/Jaylin, Rw3

Cp3 for vet min?
Get some athletic versatile guards and wings with energy as well

He's better than Kessler easily.
His best comp is Allen when healthy. I'd have them on par. At least in what the role would require for Lakers.

Problem is the health, he rarely can play. If you get him then you need another C still.

I dont think he is better than Kessler, data doesn't support that currently. Was a negative in EPM last year, but so hard to gauge because he barely even plays

I wonder if Utah would be interested in AR+Rui for Kessler+Collins+cancelling out 2027 swap (likely useless for them, but we can trade it now), and some sort of future draft comp that is protected/swap/multiple 2nds

Then can go Vando/Gabe/Kleber+Knecht+27 1st, 2031 1st, Utah draft comp for Herb Jones (may even be an overpay, depends who is getting moved as well)

Sign cp3 for vet min. Mini mle (If no big bron paycut) on a guy like Bruce Brown? (depends who gets shipped out as well)

Luka, Herb, DFS, Bron, Kessler
Cp3, Bruce Brown, Vando, Collins
