There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Going to have real fun hate watching his career with my VJ Edgecombe jersey on.

None of this will matter much because the Sixers will be picking 2nd on draft night.

Re: 2024-2025 College Basketball / NBA Draft - Volume III
If Morey wants to get Edgecombe because he thinks he has more potential its ok. What im not ok is to draft him because he thinks VJ is a more ready rookie, so he will fit better in our timeline of try to win now with Embiid and PG, thats just dumb( i saw some posts about it today). Dont think Morey would do this, since we should draft a 3rd pick thinking in which player will be better on the future, not now. Our window is closed with Embiids injury.

Outside of Flagg, Edgecombe probably has the clearest pathway to star upside.
Good passing numbers, great FT generation (half-court defense manipulation), ++ shooting indicators, elite defensive tools, generational athleticism.
I think he's Derrick White as a low-percentile outcome, which is a major compliment.
Could very easily be in the Oladipo/Mitchell/Russ/Wade bracket.
And he seems like a culture mover too.
My #2 player in the class.

so in Sixers fashion what happens now
we take him and he is a salty baby AND/OR sucks
or
we pass on him and this little tantrum is actually max DAWG ENERGY ALPHA SWAG and he goes on to be the Tracey Durant his fans promised
or we trade up and the Fultz/Tatum/Josh Jackson ( or Lonzo I guess) situation happens again.
find out next time on Dragonball ZEEEEEE

Yea, Edgecombe is both more prepared to play now and has higher upside compared to Ace so it’s not really even a question to me.

Sounds like a strategic genius to me.
Plus that video of him working on his handles literally shook me off my sofa. I just recovered. Wild to see how quickly he improved

Ace's agent, Mr. Omar, is driving a hard bargain...

Well since he just tried to strong-arm the Sixers into a promise to do a work-out, it's vague. I would assume if Dallas or San Antonio had already given him a promise he would have shut it down prior.
I think he realizes that going to a situation where he can shoot the ball 20+ times a game is his only chance of scamming a high value second contract.
His team probably want him in Washington, maybe Utah, most likely Brooklyn.

After watching what's going on with Kuminga, who has won playoff games for the Warriors this season... Then not played. Not crazy to want to have some clearance. But, he's/this pick is far more important to Philly than Kuminga is to GS. Steph still trying to win rings with veterans.... Philly needs a contingency for their veterans

Reed Sheppard was the third overall pick just last year and saw essentially zero burn on a stacked Rockets squad. Same thing with Rob Dillingham on the Wolves.
I don't blame a youngster for not wanting to get buried on a playoff roster, but at the same time as a wing and with his alleged profile, I'd be licking my chops looking at the 76ers depth chart. There's a golden pathway for him to walk right into that starting SF/PF spot from day one. Even more-so now with Yabusele halfway out the door.
It's his career though, and it's his right to choose where he feels lends the very best track to maximize his resources.

Cue the leaked audio or video of Bailey or his team calling Morey a liar.
