Bailey’s either pushing for Washington or Brooklyn. His camp is really shooting for that second contract because it seems as if he wants to get picked by a team where he can be the guy. Huge red flag and probably not the type of guy most teams would want, especially small markets.

I’m willing to bet we’d pass.

what position do you see him playing? Is he strong enough to be a C that can space the floor and guard guys on the perimeter? Does he have the athleticism to play on the wing?

Reading the tea leaves I think if we stay at 9, the pick is going to be Fears, Maluach, Essengue, or Queen. If we trade down I think we go Jak, Demin, Queen, Traore, or Richardson.

I can see a world where Masai looks at this year's playoffs and becomes enamoured with adding a big point guard in the mold of Tyrese and Shai. I'm not sure how similar either of these guys (Jak, Demon, Traore) are to Tyrese and Shai other than being tall, but that's a thought process I could see being at play. However, we have to remember Tyrese and Shai's incredible efficiency coming out of college. These other guys are a notch below that at this stage.

My final prediction is a trade down and we draft Traore + Yang/Sorber
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

We made the playoffs and had the ROY in 2021-2022…

Yeah, that's not exactly what you want to bring to the table when you're up for a contract extension. We had the ROY and made the playoffs... 4 years ago.

I'm pro keeping Masai on board, and I don't think Larry T much less Ed Rogers could find someone better for the job. Reality is though that this is very much a what have you done for me lately business.

I was pointing out that 4 years ago was a good year. It's been 3 years of pain with 1.5 years of tanking in there. Having a bad season followed by 2 years or re-building isn't that long of a leash.

Danny Wolf is a 6'10 Austin Reaves. If we do trade back, it should be for him

I have a strange feeling Masai really thinks KM is gonna be something, and all this smoke about the 9th pick most likely to be traded is actually trading up to whoever takes him.
With Ace seemingly throwing a wrench in the draft order already, who knows who falls where. As opposed to other years, I don't think the cost to move a few spots will be high due to the fluidity of the board.
:banghead: "Calling out trolls" by quoting them makes YOU part of the problem to those wise enough to use the Ignore button. Please don't add to board pollution.

All those top 4 players mentioned make me nervous but I can see the upside as well. All this talk of trading the pick has me more open minded to drafting Queens. Even if his defence is never great he should be fun to watch at least. He's got moves.

Honestly at this point I don't expect us to pick anyone I'm particularly high on so I'm just gonna strap in, enjoy the ride, and hope for the best.

Ace Bailey going to be the guy who puts up inefficient stats on a bad team, wins nothing, and makes 200 million over his career.

Franz was a really good 3+D prospect with great assist to turnover numbers in his sophomore season who then developed creation skills quickly in the NBA. He had a really good free throw percentage with an okay 3pt percentage to show there was a lot of potential with the shot. Decent stocks, great lateral quickness, and defensive rebounding lead to the highest dBPM in the big 10.

Wolf is a 4/5 instead of a 3/4 like Franz who rebounded well, defended decently well, got more assists...but whose shooting numbers were poor and turned the ball over at a very high clip. He doesn't have the lateral quicks of Franz, but is bigger. The shooting and turnovers are major red flags in my opinion.

Wagner was a great offball complementary prospect who developed creation skills where as Wolf seems like an on ball creator type who lacks off ball complementary skills and whose creator skills don't seem good enough to be the lead guy.

Wagner had a 11.9 bpm as a sophomore. Wolf a 9.5 bpm as a junior.
