Hot Sheet

13. Brock Wilken, 3B, Brewers
Team: Double-A Biloxi (Southern)
Age: 22
Why He’s Here: .364/.481/.864 (8-for-22), 6 R, 5 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 4 SO, 5 BB
The Scoop: Wilken’s game revolves around his impressive power. He’s physically imposing and has the strength to crush balls with plus raw pop, as evidenced by two home runs this week. He also brings a disciplined approach, showing the ability to work counts and draw walks. While lingering effects from a HBP facial injury may have impacted his confidence and consistency, he’s been working back from that, too. Swing holes persist, and while he owns a plus arm, limited mobility and range suggest a future move to first base could be in the cards. (JC)

Adams especially has had a ridiculous year. Really want to see him in Nashville to get challenged more, but he's still very young for his level.

Well this is super exciting. I had no idea he got the bump to AA.

What a ride it's been for this kid. 12th rounder last season, starts in A, quickly bumped to High A, dominates, and already in AA.

Definitely gonna be one to watch. He was a hailmary pick in the 16th round who had a firm commitment to Florida. Brewers went overslot and convinced him to sign.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Hate to say it but he might be the catching prospect to dream on now. Quero's definitely not 100% yet, but it sounds like the chances of him being an elite defensive backstop have mostly vanished.

Dinges hit another HR tonight. What a find.

Brewers system is so deep that Dinges isn't currently in their top 30 list on MLB Pipeline.

They need to update the list, Dinges is a top 10.

Also signed 3B Yu-Lin Liao. They both are our first Taiwanese signings ever.

So who are the potential power hitters for us at the next level?

I'll let RS correct me if I'm wrong, bit I'd definitely say Wilken and Luke Adams but will both be in minors rest of season, nothing imminent there. For immediate maybe Vaughn or Ernesto? But both play 1B and blocked by Hoskins this season.

RS also mentioned Blake Burke, but he hasn't shown power so far.

Is Josh Knoth injured? Hasn't pitched all year.
