What are the teams who may realistically want to make a move for Reaves?

Lakers need a POA defender and a starting C, so need to fill one of those needs at least or enouh draft comp to make another deal

Does Utah make sense?

AR+Rui for Kessler, Collins, removing the swap in 27, and some light draft comp (future protected 1st, or some 2nds)?

Definitely works for LA as we now also have enough assets to move imo for a guy like Herb Jones (2027 1st, 2031 1st, Knecht, utah draft comp, and salaries)

Makes sense if Utah thinks AR can have a similar jump to a guy like Brunson and or they just want to start building towards winning

Do the Pels make sense to retool?
I don't know if I move AR for Herb stragiht up, I think AR is a better player. Herb had a down year, had surgery on his shoulder, but he has a very good contract if he gets back to who he was 2 and 3 seasons ago. Maybe we ask for Jose back/dump Vando/get some 2nds or swap

Pels get a higher upside guy, we get a better fit

I dont think the board generally does. I think everyone recognizes the talent he is and he's probably miscast as a 3rd guy on a team with the top 2 being such on-ball players that it doesnt take full advantage of his offensive skills. And he's not a strong defender. The real issue comes with he's an expiring contract that he's underpaid on so much that he wont extend off of it and he's much better off getting to FA. So anyone bringing him in on his current deal needs to impress him enough in 1 year to get him to resign as a FA. Thats a risk. LA might feel confident they could get him to resign with his familiarity/how long hes been there. Other teams would have 1 year of history. That impacts his trade value.

I have Rui and Collins as similar in value and while I like Reeves, I have him in a similar tier to Kessler, I wouldn't trade Walker for him. I certainly wouldn't add value to do so.

I like the direction for the Lakers, especially if it's Miller going back, but they should get #31 additionally.

It's a much better move for the Wolves than burning far more assets in the ill advised pursuit of KD.

If I also believe (I'm not up to date on the Wolves' situation) they could pay him, Conley and Randle (if he takes his PO) would expire by the time Reaves has to collect.

Theres no way you consider Jrue to have positive value

We could go Vando, Vincent, KLeber at best honestly. Get 2 expirings that you can flip and stuck with Vando for 11.5, 12,5, and 13.5. Could be a decent fit next to KP though if he stays

No real interest in Jrue though unless we got Kessler somehow for Knecht, 1st, swaps or Allen for Rui, Knecht, 1st swaps. And even if we somehow did this, we dont have a bigger wing POA defender, but I guess you cobble that up with Jrue, DFS, FA add and Bron giving more effort there

I think the values are close, but I prefer Rui to Collins due to contract and age and then AR is a higher ceilin guy than Kessler, but Kessler is a better fit for us

This seems pretty low for Reaves

AR is a perfect target for Minny, don't think we want to help them out there unless were comped better

Maybe adding Shannon or a future 1st would do it

We also didnt accomplish getting a POA defender or a C. DDV is a nice fit, but he is a downgrade to AR

If we are moving AR+our future 1st, and guys like Rui, Knecht and expirings we need to get a C and a POA defender

There is no swap in 27. The Jazz own the Lakers 2027 FRP with very light protections (1-4). No that wouldn't be on the table.

Collins is only 4 months older than Rui and is, imo, the better player. His contract is higher, but is expiring as well. Similar value. Disagree on the higher ceiling between AR & WK.

The Jazz should still be in "stealth" tanking mode, just not as overt as last season, and only making trades in order to acquire additional draft assets.
