Jrue to Portland and Gafford re signign with Dallas....hmm some targets going off the board possibly

Unless Portland moving him again like last time? But they moved 2nds for him

Maybe Pelinka saw lebron say rings are meaningless on his podcast and then decided to just take the summer off

Seems like it

KP to Atl now; teams making moves

You guys got a gut feeling we get a random trade out of nowhere?

I do like how things dont seem to leak anymore on our end

Suns traded the 29th pick and least favorable 1st of Jazz, Wolves, Cavs (top 5 protected) in 2029 for Mark Williams

Our 2031 1st alone was worth more at the time, let alone adding Knecht

So I wonder what we can get

Feels like Kessler will stay put since Utah drafted Bailey and didnt get another pick or just drafted Maluach, but still praying

Pelinka better be whipping up some magic....

If it's not Kessler than they should just fill the spot with FAs

It won't be Kessler. It will be an FA target and a trade.

I've noticed that Pelinka can't help himself to bring in multiple players at a position they target in the offseason.

RW3
Ayton
Goga
Claxton

Feels like it will be one of these guys.

Ayton is too expensive. Almost all of their matching salary would be gone

RW3 is too injury prone, you would have to find another 2 centers above him

Claxton is ok, if Pelinka can keep the pick out of it

Goga doesn't fit with Luka's prototype

I can see them buy a pick in the early 2nd round and draft Kalkbrenner. He fits the mold as a senior player who’s been over looked for age in the draft that the lakers scouting team usually likes. It’ll likely be a center by committee if they get Capela for the MLE and retain Hayes.

Well whats the solution?

Ayton+salary for Rui+2 expirings or 1 expiring and Vando works for me

Not giving up DK or a 1st for Ayton unless its Vando and expirings and we keep Rui

Rw3 for a 2nd and an expiring is worth the risk if no better solution. Need to pair with him another C and then a 4/5 who can play with a big like Jaylin Williams or Horford

Claxton will require a 1st or Knecht. If its say Vando and Vincent/Kleber and a 1st or Knecht, I would do it

Goga is not an ideal Luka fit, but he can catch lobs and a solid defender

Goga+Rw3 if it can be done with 1 of Knecht/1st and a 2nd works.

We can't just sign a guy like Capela and call it a day, thats juts not good enough

The issue is we are limited in assets post Russ deal, trading Russ, letting guys like Caruso walk

I really wish we could have kept Christie somehow and moved Knecht/future 1st, he would be a perfect backcourt guard next to Luka

Who are some similar guys to him that are getable?

If my options are Capela for TMLE or Goga/Claxton for a pick, I would choose Capela

I agree.

I would trade for RW3 and get Capela or Horford in FA

Regarding Wiggins, can they do Rui+Vando+Knecht for Wiggins? Then dump Vincent with a small insentive to DET or a team with TPE. At that point you would need to shed just a 1-2M from DFS' starting salary to have a full MLE + BAE. Sign NAW + a center with BAE, still would have Kleber as a matching salary for a guy like Williams

If Im adding Knecht, I want to keep Rui

Vando+Vincent+Knecht+Shake

Miami gets a nice young player on year 2 of his deal

If Rui is going, then I think Rui+Vincent+can discuss 2nd/swap in 2028 or 2030 for Wiggins is fair

Rui has value to us: Solid 3 point shooter, good mid range shoot, big body who can score on mismatches when switched on, and a big body who can be a versatile 3-5 defender. I am not moving his as a negative/expiring

I think Miami should blow this thing up tbh and if they do, then the 2031 1st makes more sense

Vando+Kleber+Vando+1st with protections for Wiggins (can add Larsson for salary if needed)

They start their rebuild a bit and we still have Knecht, Rui, and swaps/2nd to move.
