Towns is great in the post and elbows too... can pass, shoot from mid range, spin moves and drives and can post up too... we need a coach that can use their strengths as much as the opp weaknesses

Before the 2012–13 season, Brown decided that the Lakers would use a version of the Princeton offense.[29] Shortly afterward, the Lakers acquired All-Stars Steve Nash and Dwight Howard, giving them a starting lineup of five former All-Stars with a combined 33 All-Star game appearances (the other former All-Stars were Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Metta World Peace, respectively).[30] Although immediately considered top title contenders, the Lakers struggled to adjust to the changes in both system and personnel and were winless in eight preseason games.[31] The team's travails continued into the start of the regular season, with the team losing four of its first five games.

:dontknow: Why don't the Knicks innovate -- hire a Coach of the Month? One month contracts unless you win 80% of the games that month??? And if there are 3 months where no one wins 80% they do a lottery and hire one of us from the board to coach for a month (and pay us!!!) with Rick Brunson advising?

whoever it is I'm going to give them a chance.

I can't be over critical of Thibs and then not give the new guy a chance regardless of who it is.

We don't need the media to know that the Knicks are a clown show. They have proved it objectively.

Just hire Rick Brunson and get it over with. That's the direction the Knicks are going. They don't want to piss Jalen off and see a repeat of the KP scenario.

They've been anything but a clown show over the last 4-5 years. We're so desirable even Durant wants to be traded to us. Stop living in the past and get with the times.

Just start a shooter in place of Hart, get KAT to set an actual screen and play nice with others. That's the job.

I think there are a lot of candidates who can do that well.

We know what didn't work, but there's a lot that did that can be drawn from.

Brown over Jenkins if those are our only two choices. Hoping the finals end tonight and we get this search over soon. Draft/trades/FA awaits! Hire a damn coach already! I'm too impatient!!

he got an extension a year ago that starts this season. so maybe that's not happening and he's just getting the high priced assistants.

I thought about it after I was being impatient. We have the 50th pick. I can't imagine it will take a lot of time preparing for the draft. Still. The offseason is about to begin. I would feel more comfortable having a HC in place for that. Even though we only have 8-10mil to spend or whatever.

What gives you this impression about more interviews?

One of the reports said they had interviews lined up next week and generally they're talking about a long process.

Like you said, our draft pick likely won't play a big part in the coaching search and free agency should be around the margins as well.

Knicks aren't even on Durant's destination list LOL. Durant just likes NYC, doesn't mean he thinks the knicks are smart. Plus he's getting old and washed up, every nba star comes to the knicks in their twilight for the decline. I think he knows the Knicks are dumb enough to give him a max extension at age 36.
