Doing the hot take thing, but I'd say night's performance cemented him as a real star in this league

even less consistent version of jamal murray. He had 3 straight decent games after struggling every other game this and last years playoffs.

JDub is an all defense guy and Murray struggles to defend anyone but otherwise yeah sure

Re: What is Jalen Williams' Ceiling?
With him i feel he is one of those guys that could have an average career or become an absolute superstar. Can't see any real holes in his game, his jumper is pure, he is a very good athlete, very good defender, can get by anyone and force separation to get a shot whenever he wants to.
But i wonder if he will ever take that step to stardom and superstardom. It may be impossible without his own team. Or maybe he is just not that guy because sometimes he is simply too passive. But his ceiling is definitely a top 10 player in the NBA for years to come

He’s an Iggy.
Ultimately he affects winning because he literally does everything you need. You can literally ask him to defend anyone and play any role offensively and hells be able to do it all at an average level at worst, which makes your team really good. But because he is just a good, not elite scorer, he’s always questioned a bit like this.

He reminds me of Latrell Sprewell.
Sprewell (Age 23)
21 ppg
43% FG (17.3 attempts)
36% 3pts (4.8 attempts)
77% FT (5.6 attempts)
4.9 rebs
4.7 assists
2.2 stls
Williams (Age 23)
21.6 ppg
48% FG (16.9 attempts)
36% 3pts (4.9 attempts)
79% FT (4.3 attempts)
5.3 rebs
5.1 assists
1.6 stls

Pippen is selling himself short. He could have been an MVP if Jordan stayed retired. That said, that’s also JDubs ‘ceiling’. Why sell him short? I have others above him in likelihood of that happening but that doesn’t take away from JDubs ceiling.

Yea he seems like a better scoring version of iggy, which is a damn valuable player because unlike iggy, jdubb can be one of the go to guys
