Jabari has to be paid as soon as next year (Suns would be wise to do it as soon as they get him to hedge against him blowing up here and costing us way more) but Ware is still on that rookie deal for another 3 years. Thats a big difference in money.

To me Jabari Smith Jr is potential to be an ideal long term PF solution. Turn him to Horry or Rasheed Wallace version 2, basically someone who scores 15, shoots 3s well, defends well and extremely reliable. Sign him for 4 years at 20M a year and it's all good value.

If the rockets are offering Smith and Green - plus picks - that seems pretty good return. I get green is duplicative but one step at a time.

I don't think Rockets are offering picks. First problem is Suns don't need Green, second problem is that Rockets are not offering any picks. Suns rejecting it because of Green is angling for Rockets to add a first rounder or 2 for Suns to bite. This is the gap.

That's the thing with the KD situation from my perspective. You get him for one year - he will very likely still be one of the best players in the league next year - and next summer, you have his bird rights. You can re-sign him or sign-and-trade him, or in the worst-case scenario, simply clear $55 million from your books. In any case, he can't make you offer him some jumbo 4-year contract.

KD's list of teams isn't all that relevant to me. If there's a team he really wants, he needs to convince that team to pony up the assets to get him. If he can't do that, he'll end up wherever he's wanted the most.

regarding age and contact length are just false/ really lame attempts to suppress KDs' true value so they can try and acquire him for a"pennies on the dollar" exchange.

And they're doing it out of a lack of respect (well earned) for our clients show front office and because they're trying to take advantage of the lack of experience and clout/ reputation throughout the league.

But the value is absolutely there to be had! It's just a matter of the suns front office holding firm and dealing from a position of strength. Because the reports about not having any leverage are also absolute BS just like arguments for depreciated value. This is all just bluffing and posturing
