Jabari has to be paid as soon as next year (Suns would be wise to do it as soon as they get him to hedge against him blowing up here and costing us way more) but Ware is still on that rookie deal for another 3 years. Thats a big difference in money.
To me Jabari Smith Jr is potential to be an ideal long term PF solution. Turn him to Horry or Rasheed Wallace version 2, basically someone who scores 15, shoots 3s well, defends well and extremely reliable. Sign him for 4 years at 20M a year and it's all good value.
If the rockets are offering Smith and Green - plus picks - that seems pretty good return. I get green is duplicative but one step at a time.
I don't think Rockets are offering picks. First problem is Suns don't need Green, second problem is that Rockets are not offering any picks. Suns rejecting it because of Green is angling for Rockets to add a first rounder or 2 for Suns to bite. This is the gap.

That's the thing with the KD situation from my perspective. You get him for one year - he will very likely still be one of the best players in the league next year - and next summer, you have his bird rights. You can re-sign him or sign-and-trade him, or in the worst-case scenario, simply clear $55 million from your books. In any case, he can't make you offer him some jumbo 4-year contract.
KD's list of teams isn't all that relevant to me. If there's a team he really wants, he needs to convince that team to pony up the assets to get him. If he can't do that, he'll end up wherever he's wanted the most.
This is Brian Gregory's first dish. I hope the man can cook!
THIS!! X 100000000000000000.
The simplistic reality of the situation of KDs' underlying value in a trade this summer very well summarized above is a perfect representation of why these very weak arguments teams and their fans are making,
regarding age and contact length are just false/ really lame attempts to suppress KDs' true value so they can try and acquire him for a"pennies on the dollar" exchange.
And they're doing it out of a lack of respect (well earned) for our clients show front office and because they're trying to take advantage of the lack of experience and clout/ reputation throughout the league.
But the value is absolutely there to be had! It's just a matter of the suns front office holding firm and dealing from a position of strength. Because the reports about not having any leverage are also absolute BS just like arguments for depreciated value. This is all just bluffing and posturing

If the Rockets include 2 FRP it's over no matter what.
Same goes for Miami and Ware.
It's up to them now.

I remember talking about him as an under the radar 2nd round selection and then again suggesting him when he was a vet minimum unrestricted free agent. Touted him as a Kennard alternative before we traded for/ recieved Allen.

It is going to be interesting to see the final trade in totality. See who was the closest to being correct from a media point of view. Nobody knows today .

MAGA sucks and Trumpanzees are morons....and are ruining this country/world.
Also learn to spell, its "Douche". Use it correctly if you're gonna say it.
Not a coincidence that the lack of education has led to that clown being elected.

Yeah it's always funny when people talk like they know whats been offered. The cool thing about the internet is there are so many things floating around you can always find one that supports your preconceived opinion and then treat it as fact. Not just NBA trade rumors, people do this with EVERYTHING.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Gotta be Ware.
No other move makes sense for Miami. They dont REALLY need him as Bam has played the 5 his whole career and KD can play the 4 now. At his age the 4 might be better for KD anyways, he can't stay with the elite 3s on defense nowadays.

I wonder if the Suns prefer two expirings in Duncan and Rozier or Wiggins and Duncan
Dream Scenario
Durant for Wiggins Ware and Jovic with a FRP to Phoenix
O'Neale for Anderson
Rozier and Duncan for Beal and the Suns 2027 FRP
Send the Heat all three players
