At the beginning of G6, OKC is playing twin tower lineup with JWill crashing the rim in the first quarter to save energy for SGA to take over at later point of the game. It could be a model that the Mavs could work after. I am longing for a breakout season from Lively.

The floor of the roster could be the same. When the long jumpers are not falling and is turnover prone, it is difficult to come back.

Portland should have gotten one or two firsts in this deal. Holiday’s bloated contract is a negative asset.

I told my daughter that Halliburton had no business being on the court after Game 5. Playing with an injured calf is only going to get you a much worse injury. Now, he is out for at least one year. Disappointed that the Pacers lost Game 7.

Luka and Brunson couldn't handle RC's style. We could have at least kept one of them.

Fire Kidd, hire Jeff Van Gundy

Pass on JVG. Keep Kidd. JVG has never won anything -- even though I think hes a decent bball mind. Stick with Kidd.

What has Kidd won? A bubble gum fake title as an assistant with Anthony Day to Day?

Has anyone notice what Charlotte is doing? Drafted 2 of Cooper's college teammates Kon Knueppel and Sion James and also his high school teammate, Liam McNeely. Full on tampering, trying to catch his eye and force a trade after AD misses his first 20 games for an ant bite.

No one is forcing a trade TO Charlotte.

Masai's out of Toronto. And literally a day after he drafted the players he liked.

Yeah, Achillis tears suck, and they have a very hard recovery.
There is only one player I can think of that came back from it in less than a year, hint, he's an undersized center who gets hit on the head a lot.

DIdnt our FO sign another guy named Wes Matthews after tearing his achilles? That was a putrid FA signing

Wes signed for 4 years and $70 million. Originally, he was supposed to get $57 million until Deandre Jordon reneged on his contract.

Wes Matthews wasn’t bad. He wasn’t the player they thought they were getting but he wasn’t terrible.

There's two preseason games,. One against SGA and the OKC team. One against Luka and the LAL team. The league just wants the talking points. I think these 2 games could be big when it comes to shaping the team identity and tone for years to come. Teams are motivated to school Coop in true NBA debut. But Coop can also send the league a message. Let's see how things work out. At the very least, Coop gets the Mavs a fast break leader and lengthy relentless defender. Only time will tell whether all these translated on court against playoff teams.

Clippers assembled a good team, health permitting they are a contender, they are heavily rumored to get CP3.
Ty Lue has uncanny ability to protect his drop coverage bigs on defense, now he has to different looks of great drop bigs, a PF for big lineups, great wing player in Kawhi, and some great mix of offensive and 3&D guards.
Zubac/BorLo
Collins/Batum
Kawhi/DJJ/Bogi
Beal/Dunn
Harden/CP3

That's a deep team, they are short on wings, but they'll probably go big to compensate for it.

OKC/HOU/DEN/LAC are the best 4 teams in the west
DAL/MIN are 5/6
GSW/LAL are 7/8

I dont think we can put the Mavs that high with Ky being out and our 54 million dollar man being Day to Day
