I shouldn't be surprised that you don't understand what momentum is and how it works, or why things change on Cleveland's end if the score is now 91-89 instead of still being tied at 89, or how it important it is to stop any and every possession possible with two minutes left in the finals, but your post history obligates me to believe you don't deserve to have the benefit of the doubt on the matter.

Will always think of Kyrie’s shot more than LeBron’s block that day. Both were amazing plays but the shot is basically what won Cleveland the title. Crazy how little it gets talked about because it’s not LeBron making the shot.

It was an incredible sequence for multiple reasons.

1. LeBron had to dart from half court to make the play.

2. Steph Curry opting for a bounce pass instead of a simple tip pass/ chest pass.

3. JR Smith creating the slight delay and forcing Iggy to double pump.

Ultimately, if Steph just made a simply tip pass/ chest pass, Iggy probably dunks it or manages to make the layup before LeBron gets there. But the bounce pass, followed by JR undercutting Iggy allowed LeBron the split second he needed to chase down the block.

Is it history altering? I mean the Cavs got the ball and missed on the following possession, so the Warriors still had the ball in a tie game with 1:30 and Steph airballed an ill-advised stepback 3 with like 16 left on the shot clock. Really, the game winning play was Kyrie's dagger.

The bigger picture though was that the Warriors were soft and petered out in games 5,6, and 7. Game 7 should've been a blowout loss had Draymond not had the game of his life and kept them in. Steph and Klay were embarrassingly bad.

That's not really comparable in terms of magnitude and moment. The Prince block was absolutely amazing, but this was GAME 7 OF THE FINALS, Cavs were on the road against one of the greatest teams of all time, they were tied for what seemed like forever heading into the final minutes and any bucket would have given a team the momentum. The momentum shift that LeBron's block had was huge.

I remember watching that game and rooting for the Warriors to win, and when LeBron blocked that shot, it just felt like a certainty that the Cavs were gonna upset the Warriors, and true enough, it set up Kyrie's game-winning shot.
