Hornets want to be more competitive so get a natural scorer and an upgraded backup center at a cheap cost.
Kings want to move on from DeRozan so here they get a good 2nd in this draft and get what should be a good 2nd again next year. Green gives them hustle off the bench and he can make corner 3s.

I want to move off DeRozan and have zero attachment to JV, but this isn't enough for me. I think I'd tough out DeRozans contract for another year and then waive him for the partial before doing this.

Also unless I'm mistaken, Kings already own that 2026 charlotte 2nd

DeRozan may be a particular player, but this is just bad salary
