‘Matchup problem’
Chet could not match up with centers so they overpaid Hartenstein and moved Chet to 4.
Now he can’t match up with 4s either.

He plays good help D, rebounds and passes well. His offense has a long way to go, though, no doubt. He definitely has limitations.

Re: Safe to say, Chet "Hologram" Holgrem > Paolo Banchero
I can't lie, I've been on team Chet > Paolo since the draft but he's been really disappointing in the finals. Can't make a shot, Myles Turner is eating him up on the rim but more importantly he really seems to struggle with the physicality. A lot of people had that concern with Chet given his obviously skinny build, but he was known to be a tenacious competitor despite being at a weight disadvantage which eased my concern about it. I just haven't seen that in the finals, maybe he's dealing with a minor injury but with his build injuries will always be a risk. Still a good player and don't want to completely overreact to a small sample of games, but I do have serious concerns now that he be a full time 5 which lowers his value quite a bit

Still laughing at people who thought this guy was comparable to Victor. Chet is a solid player but it's very clear that he is not a franchise level player and Victor is just tiers above him as a player/prospect

Don’t get mad at the players because of some of their fans. I’m sure the players are a lot more pleasant to talk to.

Paolo has a much bigger carry role on his team. If roles were reversed, it's likely that Chet would struggle even more. But there's a lot of room for growth for him as well.

Let’s go ahead and fire up the Aaron Wiggins is better than Wemby because he contributed to a finals run while Wemby is at home… what are we doing OKC fans?

He is a great defensive player for sure, not knocking him there. But he is not in the same conversation as Victor as a player. Pick on me all you want, I've said all series long that OKC would win the title

He’s a more disciplined and technical defender with stronger fundamentals. But he obviously doesn’t have the same measurements that allow Vic to do insane stuff on that end.

This thing is 2 years old and I somehow just noticed Chet's last name isn't even spelled correctly in the title haha.

Disagree. Wemby has incredible defensive instincts and awareness and I wouldn't say Chet is more disciplined or technical personally but I get that is subjective either way. But it's not like Chet is 6'10" either, dude's 7'2"
Vic is also covering for an entire team of defensive sieves while Chet has nothing but A+ defenders around him. Put competent defensive players around Vic and watch how much better his discipline/fundamentals look in that setting

Re: Safe to say, Chet "Hologram" Holgrem > Paolo Banchero
Still think both teams are happy with what they got out of that draft.
Especially with SGA and Jalen Williams, there is really no need for Paolo skill set on OKC. In these playoffs, Chet has had the ball in his hands less than Alex Caruso has for OKC. And 71% of Chet’s FGs in these playoffs have been assisted on.
So Chet is currently giving them 15/8/1 with good defense, on very low volume on offense (time the ball is in his hands). Thats a very good fit when you have SGA and Jalen Williams on your team.
On the flip side, ORL has made back 2 back playoffs with basically having the entire offense fall on Paolo/Franz. I know Chet really blew up with that viral video showing his handle against Curry back when he was in high school. But Chet has yet to show he’s a guy that can be anywhere close to effective with a high on ball role. Which would be the role he would need to play for ORL.
Again I just think this is the perfect example of both sides being happy with who they ended up with.

The Magic fans have beef with everyone...
Paolo vs. Chet
Scottie vs. Franz (my personal favorite)
Suggs vs. Derrick White
Franz vs. Giddey
Praying for Burrow
