If MIA is in a 3way and Bos return is Duncan robinson contract, only 10million guaranted... That would be a huge win as far salary cap problems.

Than you just trade Houser into someone cao space/mle and thats it.

I think the problem is it only counts outgoing for MIA as what it's guaranteed at. To make a KD trade work, they need to use the full $19.8M, or send it as $10M and add another player like SloMo to get back to... $19.2M.

Something like this could work, but it still doesn't save us a ton.

MIA in: KD, Micic
MIA out: Wiggins, Robinson, Highsmith, 20

PHO in: Wiggins, Jrue, 32, 2029 Heat 1st
PHO out: KD

BOS in: 20, Robinson, Wiggins, 20
BOS out: Jrue, 32

Saves us $6.8M (minus difference of pick 20 vs vet min), but we move up in the draft. And I like Highsmith. Robinson is at worst a possible waive & stretch if needed to get us under an apron/tax.

Is KD worth two picks more than Jrue? I’m not sure he is at this point.

And Wiggins. Yeah, I struggled with that. I'm fine keeping 28. That's kinda a haul for PHO. But also, kinda "expected" haul, cuz KD.

This board is dying to be a treadmill team again. So it kind of makes sense.

I think they are in a tough spot since who is trading for KD without his buy in. So he has an almost no trade clause effect, he’s old, big contract and he’s going to want a big extension. I could be wrong but it just seems like a decent player and maybe a pick is what they’ll be lucky to get, and despite the talk around Jrue he’s still more than a decent player imo. That’s my view but we will see.
Edit: if the Wolves want Durant but shift to a Jrue trade then getting back Divencenzo would be a decent cheaper decent place holder.

I haven’t spent a ton of brain power on it,tbh. That was my first crack cuz it finally mentioned BOS. I don’t really have a position yet, and kinda lean towards your thinking in general on it. Take out 28 and it’s a good package that lets PHO declare a win even with the crazy MIN rumors. If we can save money and get pick 20, I’ll let pho and Mia worry about the rest and go back to not caring. :D

I hadn’t even read the wiretap article but that’s what it sounds like - he’s dictating the terms and we are back to Miami wanting to get a good player for nothing just like every other year lol.

I would settle for just some legit rumors..even if we don't pull the trigger. This barely hearing anything is torturing to me..

I also desperately want a pick mid-first round. Somehow with a trade up involving eitherJrue and/or Hauser..

Somehow I get the feeling that Stevens and Ainge are going to team up and put it to Pat the Rat on a Durant trade and send KD to another team other than Miami.

Whipped this chart up because I was curious which teams Brad has made trades with more than others.

Seems like a decent chance that one of his deals this offseason might be with one of the teams where he's already made multiple deals with them. However, us and OKC will be battling each other for titles for the next few yrs so I doubt we'll make another trade with them anytime soon.

The 2 trades we made with OKC were back when OKC was tanking.

Not surprisingly, Brad hasn't made any trades with the Warriors, Cavs, Heat, Magic, Knicks or Bucks..teams who are our rivals and/or teams we have battled for titles.

great work. Memphis probably doesn't want to do any deals with Brad for awhile after Marcus. Indy is probably first in line after Nesmith, lol

Now I really want Brad to somehow whip up a KD trade.

Get rid of everyone but Tatum, Brown, White and Pritchard.

That's not happening.

The payroll would be literally too taxing.

If you want KD, it has to be JB and Jrue going out or maybe White and Jrue.

JT, JB, and KD plus White will be Suns 2025 version 2.0.

The better 4-core will be JT, KD, KP, and White.

Another one of those "sure thing" college players. Ah the memories, when some of Celtics RealGM posters (you know who you are) were saying trade everyone for a shot at Wiggins or Parker, generational players. At least things have changed since then, Oh wait!

Yeah it’s not happening at all, but whenever I hear the payroll stuff I just can’t. I have no empathy for billionaires footing the bill for a $6 billion dollar team to stay competitive.

Yeah I'm over KP. Just get what you can for him, Brad.

Seems like the teams who could use him the most are the Lakers and Suns.
