Don’t think game 7s of the finals or conference finals have ever been during the day, at least not in a very long time. Night time is prime time. Even the Super Bowl starts at night in the east and ends at night in the west.

Yea I just think since its a Sunday and most people would be off and at home. Would be cool to have a whole day event but yea makes sense why they do this.

Ya agreed. I feel for the east coasters who have to work early Mon. It’s a little surprising that the ultimate prime slot is so late on the east.

And I want the kids to be able to watch this and enjoy. With out falling a sleep or parents getting mad and putting them to bed. I remember the Mavs and Heat series having to beg my mom to stay up and it sucked.

Hey man very rarely do you get to watch game 7 of the NBA finals. If you can try to get the day off. Sometimes its okay to enjoy life a bit and not work.

The wildest thing is that this series could’ve been over on both sides. Without the Thunder blowing game 1, they likely win in 5 games. If the Pacers didn’t blow game 4, they win the series in 6.

If any team can go into OKC and win game 7, we can do it! We've been defying the odds for awhile.

I know OKC is not NY, but this same team went into Madison Square Garden (The Most Famous Arena in the World) game 7 last season. Shot almost 70% to beat the Knicks in ECF's.

Predictable OKC win incoming. When is the last time the overwhelming favorite lost game 7 at home other than 2016? That team had a transcendent GOAT-tier player on the opposite team though, Indy doesn’t have that.

There haven’t been many Finals Game 7s though so it makes no sense to count out 2016. GS only lost 9 games that whole season. NO ONE had Cleveland winning 3 in a row including 2 on the road, LeBron o no LeBron.

Also why is game 7 on a sunday night - as opposed to Saturday. That s just poor scheduling by the NBA

My understanding is that more people go out on Saturday while more people stay at home watching TV on Sunday. You can rely on the network knowing which night maximises their ad revenue.

Which is it OKC is great at home or Pacers blew game 5? Pacers did blow game 4 but OKC blew game 1 so those cancel each other. The home teams held serve in games 5 and 6.
