You can't go wrong with Edgecombe or Johnson. We're trying to move up for Dylan Harper. To me that says we're going for BPA. If you can't get Harper, then Tre is a hell of a consolation prize. He may even be better than Harper who knows? I do think the closer we get to the draft, the more we'll start to hear Tre to Philly noise. He's closer than we think. If Morey values shooting, handles, talent, eye test, and work ethic all in one player, then he's definitely looking at Johnson just as much as he's looking at Edgecombe.

MUST WATCH.

Tre Johnson should have been the lead guard at Texas. Had he been given that role, he might’ve been projected as the No. 2 overall pick.

*30min mark, Flagg’s Montverde went up against Tre’s HS team. Flagg defended him entire game and Tre ended up being the top scorer of the game with 25pts on good %

Just started watching but seems Tre was more explosive back then. Maybe he had a growth spurt and his speed didnt adjust yet to his new body? He exploded in a dunk starting at 0:58 where he went pretty fast and in other drives he seemed faster too.

At 6:35 he drives pretty fast to the rim, which i thought it was impressive. He had pretty good combine numbers, so the potential is already there. Imagine if he can regain some of that speed with nba training. The way his shooting is already deadly, if he can be a nice driver too, he´s just too good. I actually dont think its a hot take to say that theres a decent chance he will be better than Harper.

Finding footage of Ace beating his defender off the dribble is rarer than finding big foot  . If he was prospect as large as some think he is he would be drafted by the Spurs. The reason he is making so many "tough shots" is cause he cant create easy ones. He contributes to winning, for the opposition that is  .

Tre or VJ.

I can easily see the Spurs regretting taking Harper over Johnson immediately next season. Tre is a perfect fit for that team with his nuclear shooting, and has the skills and physical profile to become the total package of a lead guard.

We have more problems at the C position if we’re going to discuss positional need.

Grimes, Edwards, George and Oubre can play SF.

Harper is very talented with both hands driving, and you can see it from his videos. He is very crafty and can get to where he wants to get to on ease. Not sure Tre will ever get there though his shooting is electric. If they think he will be a at least a neutral defender and rebounder he should be the pick, he showed nothing close to either though.

He not slow, can move his feet, can handle the ball & shoot. Green light. Do it

I'd be surprised if he's available at 35.

Just looked for comparisons: "Marković is more frequently compared to players like Franz Wagner, Lauri Markkanen, Chet Holmgren, Santi Aldama, and Aleksej Pokusevski, with Markkanen being a recurring reference due to shooting and playstyle similarities."

Does anyone know the 'trade rumors' if we traded with CHA, is it because they want VJ at 3? If we traded with UTA who are they trading for at 3? Just curious, i guess it's all smoke screens now...

Jake Fischer made it seem like anyone who trades up to #3 is doing it for VJ. At this point, it is unlikely that anyone would trade up to us for Ace (he said Ace's market likely starts at #6, with VJ, Tre, Kon, and possibly Fears going ahead of him).

We should auction VJ to the highest bidder. I hope someone loves him as much as our draft analysts and will therefore pay up, but I have serious doubts about that.

Would be great if we trade down with WAS then grab Ace at #6, then potentially trade him for even more assets, like to BKN at #8.

Come away with a haul of future picks and grab Noa at #8 overall.

Morey has been far less imaginative and experimental as a GM than I expected. In a grand sense, we've made major roster moves (Horford/Simmons/Harden/George), but it's also been pretty telegraphed.

So what's a chalk off-season look like right now? Because that's what feels like Morey at this point to me.

Something really basic like draft VJ at 3, dump Gordon and/or Drummond's salary at the cost of a 2nd or 2 to get some apron flexibility (or do some manipulative Morey stuff to get them to opt out with false promises :o ), re-sign Grimes and Yabu, and then bring in some vet minimums.

G: Maxey, McCain, VJ, Grimes, Butler
F: Podcast, Yabu, Oubre, Edwards
C: Embiid, Bona, vet min guy

Pretty underwhelming. Gotta be more than that... Right?

Jake Fischer said he heard rumblings that Washington wants to trade to #3 to select Edgecombe, but still thinks it's more likely the Sixers stay pat and select Edgecombe
