Celtics just can’t take on that kind of Salary.
They are better off sticking with Porzingis.
Isn’t one guy out with a torn Achilles enough for a team lol.
Now something around Jrue and Hauser for Murray and 23 makes more sense.

Both the Nets and Suns likely do. That's too many picks plus Claxton plus having to take on Green just to move up 9 spots. For the Suns, there's no remotely "premium" piece in that deal.
Yeah the Nets need incentive to swap Green for Claxton - the picks are about a wash in this deal.
I'm sure Phoenix wants more for KD but I doubt they get it. They could get more pick value but not if they want useful players back.

I agree with lines 1 & 3.
If you did line 4, you can't do line 2.

I think 19+26+27 = 13-14 only, not 10.

The value is probably right, but at this point I think that the Jazz would be more likely to combine 21 with something--pick(s), player(s)--in an attempt to move up rather than split it into two lesser assets. Lots of young players and picks already in the mix.

Maybe but it's pretty close. I don't think Green and Claxton are close in value. I think the Nets would prefer to keep Claxton and still value him. Even if they're tanking for another year they don't mind having a couple players they trust as part of the win-now team they'll build in 2026 with Claxton being a likely guy. I don't think he moves as easily as some center-needy teams expect. Meanwhile Green is more of a bad contract neither Houston nor Phoenix want.

The Nets have to spend an extra $60+M to get to 90% of the salary cap. I don't think they're looking to move Claxton unless they are taking back a whole lot of salary -- and probably a player they really want
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

What do you guys think Jrue's value is?
I think hes a decent negative now due to having 3 years at 32m, 35m, 37m
Trying to see if the Lakers can get him for 2 expirings in Kleber and Gabe and then a bad, but smaller, deal in Vando
or if Boston would add their 1st (28th) with Jrue and then just receive 1-2 of Gabe/Maxi (3rd team takes an expiring and Lakers and Boston both chip in a 2nd)

Trade 1..
Washington for Monk +42
Trade 2 Hawks/Mavs
Gafford/O-Max+42 for Niang + 22
Trade 3 Hawks/Boston
Bufkin+ 42 for Hauser + 32.
The HAWKS take the best guard available on the board with the 13th pick. Denim/Jaku/Traore with the 32th pick take a big player with 3-point range (Yang/Penda).

Can you break Hachimura contract into depth pieces? I'm not sure it's a good idea for LA.
Bostan can use theirnlate picks to dump Vincent/Kleber.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

I think it’s being overstated how “bad” his contract is. He will be around the 60th highest paid player in the league through the life of it…He is still pretty close to a top 60-80 player. Maybe he declines a bit, but he keeps himself in great shape and is obviously great at bringing intangibles to a team.
I don’t think the Celtics will have to pay to break him into smaller pieces. They probably do for a near complete dump.
I think the most likely package that the Celtics accept is a player the Celtics can use that may be signed long term and an expiring or two.
I highly doubt they pay to “dump” him.
For the Lakers Rui and Kleiber or Vincent makes the most sense.
Rui and Vanderbilt maybe but I expect the Cs can find a better deal.

I think a big question for the offseason is how players who are good but not elite while also expensive are valued. Holiday being a prime example.
I doubt his value is that low. Maybe if the Lakers pay to dump Kleber and Vincent into cap space/TPE(s) so that Boston just moves Holiday for Vicente (and huge immediate salary relief) it could work.

It seems the draft silliness is in full effect. The Ace Bailey thing has gotten out of hand. It seems if the media doesn't here from the prospects they just make up their stories.

1. SI is not the sports illustrated of old. The individual team sites are not news breakers, and they got rid of them years ago (and again a year or two ago). At this point, it’s Fansided/Bleacher Report at best, and pays per click, so it’s incentivized to put splashy headlines and stretch the truth for shock.
2. It’s LOOSELY citing a Scoop B post? So it’s based on garbage too…

"One source familiar with Bailey’s thinking told me he would welcome the opportunity to play in Utah and even compared his mindset to Naz Reid’s successful rise with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In other words, Bailey isn’t chasing lights — he’s chasing legacy."
It's directly quoting him.

I just don't see how Jrue makes sense for Lakers. Lakers have enough playmaking with Reaves/Luka/Lebron..
Vando/DFS/Gabe/Goodwin/Bronny fill in the defense from guard to wing.
Rui/Knecht/Kleber are the pieces to use to get a starting C. Use TaxMLE to get backup C.
The candidates that this package can afford:
Ayton, Porzingis, Claxton, Vucevic

Vando, Gabe, Goodwin, Bronny are hardly playable in the regular season, let alone the playoffs.
Lakers need 2/3 legit defensive upgrades on the perimeter that can be relied upon from October to June.

Of those 4 only Gabe actually had a decent run with the Lakers.
It's too early to know if Vando, Goodwin, Bronny wouldn't work. But sure I see an argument to moving Gabe for an upgrade.
So maybe Gabe+Rui+Knecht+Kleber+FRP for a starting C and guard defender.
