LOL!! No

Yeah I'm over KP. Just get what you can for him, Brad.

Phoenix is still buzzing about that Booker, Durant, Beal trio

Almost as good as Celtics RealGM posters saying Durant, Irving, Harden trio in Brooklyn is game over for the next 5-6 years

And Wiggins. Yeah, I struggled with that. I'm fine keeping 28. That's kinda a haul for PHO. But also, kinda "expected" haul, cuz KD.

I think they are in a tough spot since who is trading for KD without his buy in. So he has an almost no trade clause effect, he’s old, big contract and he’s going to want a big extension. I could be wrong but it just seems like a decent player and maybe a pick is what they’ll be lucky to get, and despite the talk around Jrue he’s still more than a decent player imo. That’s my view but we will see.
Edit: if the Wolves want Durant but shift to a Jrue trade then getting back Divencenzo would be a decent cheaper decent place holder.

Trading Jrue won’t get you first round pick in return. Just no way. I am sure there will be better 3 team to be involved for the KD trade between PHX and MIA

Posters at Spurstalk are peddling a theory that the Spurs have come into cahoots with Klutch Sports Agency. The new head coach Mitch Johnson and the GM Brian Wright are represented by Klutch. The Spurs affliated coach/media person Becky Hammon just recently signed on with Klutch. Spurs players Keldon Johnson and DeAaron Fox and Klutch clients. Rumors are flowing that Spurs are targeting bigman Khaman Malauch, a Klutch client, in the draft.

And basically this is a theory that Klutch is sort of taking over to package their clients together "trying to help the Spurs build their team"

lol ... so basically the rumor is Klutch has a lot of influence on the decisions over there. As this pertains to the recent rumors about Celts and Spurs doing business, Klutch is almost an antagonist towards the Celtics and the most-rumored Celtic in Spurs rumors (Jaylen Brown) is definitely NOT a Klutch athlete and JB has had some icy moments with Lebron James over the last couple of years.

So ... anyway, nothing Celtics specific but just rumors on spurstalk that SAS has become very cozy with Rich Paul agency. And this, if I may speculate, doesn't seem to support the idea that BOS and SAS are about to do a big trade.

This board is dying to be a treadmill team again. So it kind of makes sense.

People love trades. Its weird. I would like a reset because I think Celtics style of play is silly. We gotta get less susceptible to probability. 2 out of last 3 years shooting bad in a series killed a championship level team.

LOL!! No

Compare that to JT, JB, KD, and White.

That's never happening.

A JT, KD, KP, and White has a slim chance of happening.

True.

But if JT, KD, KP, and White has zero chance, a JT, JB, KD, and White 4-core has a negative 1% chance of happening.

Point is ZERO is greater than negative one.

That's all.

Have no idea what you are talking about, bottom line is Kevin Durant will not be a member of the Boston Celtics next year period!

Like I said, I don't disagree with you.

All I'm saying is having 3 players with salaries over 50m per year is not realistic.

But if you swap one 50m per year player for another 50m per year player then it's not that far-fetched anymore.

We're just talking of "what if" scenarios.

Rumors are rumors but I always thought the Fox trade was a little weird, same with the pattern of players suddenly wanting to go there. So it honestly wouldn’t surprise me and if true leaves SAS having to figure out how to get good value for #2 to drop back.

There’s been imo lots of good players (ie the ones we have) that have wanted to come to Boston but it doesn’t happen through the media it just low key happens. Despite the elite success Boston has had there are always other teams that have players that publicly really want to go there it’s a pretty identifiable pattern.

The Celtics don’t need KD and they certainly don’t need to extend him. I could really see a trade where they trade Jrue Hauser and PP and get a foundational point guard in return. If they don’t move KP I believe he’ll get an extension at a fair price.

Just lost to the Knicks, with home court, in the second round, with a $200M+ payroll.
Best player is out next year and probably won’t get back to being himself, on the basketball court, for another full year after that.

C’s are a treadmill team, so…

Ok Monday morning quarterback :banghead:

It’s called scouting. It’s ironic because this board HATED the JB pick at #3

If team Brad loves a player in the lottery the C’s have the assets to go get him, potentially all the way to #2. If not, the won’t make a trade. To call out the folks who are proposing moving in the lottery is busch league imho

It’s like calling D.Ainge a horrible GM for moving up for KO and not selecting Giannis

Frankly, Brad has been avoiding the draft. I’m curious if team Brad has a talent evaluating chops. That alone makes a trade into the lottery intriguing for me.

Return to Boston Celtics
