Zero run support in 6 games is alarming.

Dumbest shyt in my book is how much is caused by stupid mistakes. Guys running into outs, forgetting the out count, not being to bring in the designated man on base in OT.

I’m looking back at it and a lot of the mistakes are being made by our young dudes…Rice, Volpe, Jasson. We gotta live with that now so we don’t need to live with it later. That’s what happens when we want to play the young dudes, so I’m okay with it.

Still, I’d argue that lack of detail-oriented clean play is a feature of Boone’s teams. It was an issue in the last World Series and is just happening again.

The mental errors are a hallmark of a Boone managed team. Volpe should know better.

They gotta clean this up. Tampa Bay is knocking.

I would say this is frustrating but I would say they haven't earned that right for any fan to be frustrated.

Why even get mad anymore it's not worth it. A part of me has always just wanted their plan to just blow the hell up and catch on fire. F emm

Team can only win with a hot iron as we saw yesterday's 9-0 win it's sad. Down 2-0 it's over barring a home run barrage. Even if we go on a hot streak I can't take this team seriously. Team is more capable of winning 8-10 in a row then just consistently taking 2 of 3, makes all the difference in a 100 win team vs an 88 win team.

Teams go through slumps. Look at the Mutts recently. The Dodgers have had it happen as well. It's a long season.

I think Boone is a problem. I think the FO is a problem. I don't think we have a WS winning team here. Just like many thought we were terrible last year. We made the WS. Against a vastly superior team. We lost. We made it though. The rest of the league was watching while we still had games to watch.

I'm still hoping we can get back and play better this time. It's not only all about winning it all for me. It's about enjoying the summer and hoping there's something worth rooting for. 1st place playoff teams are fun to root for. Can it be better? See the FO/Boone comments above. I can't change that though.

We are still one of the best teams in the league. Even with the obvious problems. I'll take it. Life's too short.

Dang, I have to say that I might be more optimistic than you are.

I think the Dodgers are far more superior...when they're healthy. Unfortunately for them, they have the ability to increase their pitchers' velocity but they can't figure out how to keep them healthy.

Last year, though, when we were playing their C team and their A and B team were hurt? I actually think the Yankees were a bit closer than we thought. I think a few smaller pushes and we would have won it last year. For example, we had a gruesome G1 loss that reminds me of the Knicks throwing away G1 against the Pacers (****...I can't believe this is the second time we've had to deal with that this year). Having pitching depth so we wouldn't need to throw out a fresh Will Warren out there was pretty important in losing us some key games. Being able to grab some average players on a short-term deal so we wouldn't need to rely on DJLM or Rizzo. Dumping Verdugo early, when he was doing nothing for us, and letting Jasson get some more regular season reps instead of throwing him into the postseason fire. Getting Flaherty after we initially agreed to a deal for him, instead of backing out and letting the Dodgers get him. Being willing to pay for Blake Snell. These are small things, but I think if we did even one of them, we might have gotten World Series home field advantage and that could have changed the series.

Even now, I think we just need to spend a little extra money and just shore up some weaknesses in the infield. Small things like that...they can really pay off. The pitching has improved and we're getting more reinforcements, we've gotten good contributions across the roster, Judge is in his prime. I think we can contend, but it sucks when I feel like we lose because not everyone is giving their all.

I think we can compete but. I don't see a championship team right now. With some good deadline moves we may improve but, as of today I don't think we are there yet. Gil coming back changes things too. I forgot about him for a minute.

My point was, baseball being such a long season, you never really know what's gonna happen until it does. Those championship runs you knew we were the best team. We haven't had that since then basically. We aren't a bad team though. As the season plays out into July and August we will see what we really have. So far so good but, I'm not confident this team can win it all right now. I'm not gonna lose my mind over this recent slump but, they need to come out of it soon and get back to winning more than losing.

Still don't trust Rodon in a big spot. I trust Gerrit with a torn elbow more than him.
