My money's on KD and Giannis playing for the same team in 25/26 they ended the 24/25 season with

Could be a good thing for the C's and potential trades

Suns probably trying to get the teams interested in Durant to take Beal too.

It’s a trick question. How do you define success? It also depends on your age. I grew up watching the C’s in the 80’s. I expect more.

Still waiting for you to tell us why the Celtics have been mediocre over the past 10 years.

My dream of landing Brandon Clarke is still alive. Edey/Jackson/Aldama should be a good enough front court.

Kevin Durant is practically the crypt keeper. That is a pretty decent offer if that is what Miami is offering.

I'll be surprised if he goes elsewhere. The Texas teams are better off passing on KD and keeping their young cores intact.

Plus they also have Huff too.

I just don't know if Brad would want to trade for a non-shooter..

I did tell you. One chip.

Maybe, but Beal has a no-trade clause. Might go down as one of the worst front office decisions of the decade for Washington.

Then again, Dallas did trade Luka to the Lakers for a bag of pretzels…

Assuming no big changes for C’s. What’s your fascination with B.Clarke on this roster?

If you're comparing this iteration of the Celtics to past Celtics (60s/Russell, 80s/Bird), then yes you well be underwhelmed. Duh. But relative to the other teams the past 10 or so seasons (or since Ainge traded PP/KG), no one other than the Warriors have fared better in terms of titles, playoff appearances, and total wins. It's harder to build dynasties in this NBA era 'cos of all the restrictions but also of how players approach brand-building. If you consider Lebron as an entire entity unto himself, then he's the most successful outside of the Dubs.

Cleveland Cavaliers
•One championship (2016), coming off a 3–1 deficit in the Finals (beat 73-win GSW)
•Four straight Finals (2015–18), all against Golden State

Milwaukee Bucks
•One championship (2021) defeating the top-seeded Suns in six games
•Consistent contender, including a 60-win season (2022) and perennial top-two East seed
•Had to go through back-to-back Finals opponents (Heat in bubble, Celtics in 2022-23 East Finals), plus multiple 50-win Eastern teams on their way.

Denver Nuggets
• One championship (2023, first ever)
•Had to go through the West (two 60-win teams plus a 54-win contender).

Great catch, my fault. Appreciate the fact check.

Doesn’t change my stance.

Last 40 years
LAL - 7 titles
BOS - 3 titles

Since 2000
LAL - 6 titles
BOS - 2 titles

Lakers and Celtics teams had stars. You all want to trade stars. JB, the guy you all want to trade for a ham sandwich is considered a star. You should be collecting those not trading them.

Lol. Logoff for a few days son.

Thanks, but I’m good. Different people have different standards. I’m not sure the folks who just paid a $6bill evaluation for the C’s will be ok with your standards.

They aren’t hiring you.

That's the old NBA.

How many household names are in the finals right now?

The NBA game has once again evolved.

Right now quantity trumps quality.

Having more quality players will beat teams with multiple star players lacking depth.

Both OKC and Indy are efficient and disciplined on offense.

It's just not about star power now.

The new CBA is making sure of that.

The Celtics haven’t lacked wins, they’ve lacked execution when favored. Whether it’s blowing home court, folding in critical games, or letting lower seeds out-tough them, we’ve underachieved relative to our seeding in at least 4 of the last 6 playoff runs. The 2024 title was great—but it doesn’t erase a pattern.

I’ll be happy to provide the proof if requested.

You keep moving the goalpost. So what is your bar for being successful? It's not playoff wins or titles (no matter how they got them)?

We don't disagree that they have to improve. To me, it begins with their stars. We've already had two coaching changes and they still revert back to old habits. And it isn't Marcus Smart either, who became the scapegoat for late-game meltdowns.

Suggesting, because others have different opinions, they’ll hire those people? Sorry if you were “triggered”
