He's got a better chance with any of the potential trading partners than he does here.

The now confirmed giant swing and a miss upon Ishbia's arrival has set this franchise back a minimum of 3-5 years ESPECIALLY being in the Western Conference.

- CP3 was injured every season and every playoffs
- DA checked out because he got his money
- Monty was a stubborn **** and didn't adjust
- We peaked and Bridges disappeared in the Finals

WC became more competitive and we were always going to be left behind. The major problem was the Beal trade which should have never happened.

And to add, the Suns 2021 Finals run had a lot of luck involved with I believe several injuries to key players on other teams such as Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis.
The following season the team had a franchise best record, but I feel like they gassed out using all of their energy throughout the season, and by the time the playoffs rolled around the team just burned out.

That's why I freakin' LOATHED all that "We/they are young and will be back talk" literally not even a day after the backdoor sweep to the Bucks. Oh and Monty im the Bucks locker room PUUUUUUUKE. I remember taking a lot of heat for speaking out against it, but here we are.

And yes - that season was lightening in a bottle. A lot of fortune went there way that is not easily duplicated.

It was a good solid team with a decent future. This current team isn’t even a playoff team

I don't really hate this suggestion, but I'm also not sure about giving the Rockets our 29th pick when they're already getting KD and Smith Jr should be in the deal with the 10th pick anyways for getting KD! And without additional value added.

But if, say the Hornets were to send back the 33rd and 34th picks, then I guess I'd consider this a equitable exchange outcome.

But it still doesn't compare value wise to the Toronto offer and how we could leverage that 9th pick alongside of Barrett and Quickly.

I think I would just shut down all trade talks and bring KD back for the final year of his contract and let him walk next summer. He will be able to choose his best destination without us being saddled with another long term unwanted salary that we do not need. Then the following year do the same thing with Beal.

It appears that we will not be able to bring in any quality young players or draft picks to help turn our franchise around. If there were the draft picks and players that were suggested a couple of months ago I would have done the deal. As others have stated none of these reported offers from other teams really improve our present or future. We are clinging to hope that the 10th pick in the draft will fix our problems. What happens if that 10th pick is a bust and we are stuck with Jalen Green that no one wants?

We probably are better off just making good picks at 29 & 52 while keeping KD.

I am interested to see what Ott can do with this group with a few tweaks. I hope we hang on to Cody Martin and can somehow draft players and maybe pick up a player in free agency that play with the same passion as he and Colin Gillespie play.

Maimi is reportedly interested in Cody Martin. Maybe we can somehow include him in a 2nd deal that brings us Ware and another pick in addition to #20 this year.

You could always take Barnes, Vassell, and #14. No long term salary there.

That's not a terrible offer. But honestly still a bit short on value given that KD is still putting up all nba production on elite efficiency and would obviously extend there making the Spurs perennial contenders over the next 2-3 years with would drastically advance Wembys' competitive development too.

I'd say either add Sochan to that package to close the deal, OR add the 38th pick and two 26' 2nds (NOP or POR 26'2nd) and (UTA 26' 2nd). Either of those adjustments would be amenable to getting a deal done.

That guy is reading ideas from the Trade forums. He's got no sources. It's too good to be true for Suns.... although Hornets should definitely think about it. Ball and Green seems pretty exciting.

No. Suns should drop Spurs out of it. Why help Spurs build another championship team.


There are better options than taking Vassell who is another SG. He's barely a SF as he's under 6'6. Suns have enough SGs.
