To me he is a despicable human being. Did he officially get caught doing PEDs?

That tarnishes his legacy.

Some American in the Las Vegas Raiders Server I am in said GSP was juicing! I can't believe it!

**** this dude. I’m glad we’re done with this nonsense and the whole sport can just move on from him. Garbage dude outside the cage and an eye poking steroid cheat in the cage. Teased a HW run for years and years and yet never went up to fight Cain. Then blatantly ducked Ngannou and conveniently came right back only when Ngannou’s contract negotiations with the UFC went south and he saw an easy title fight vs Gane. Then blatantly ducks Tom and holds up an entire division for 2 years so he could get a “legacy fight” against the corpse of Stipe.

As shady as the UFC is, they matched Jon's demands, this isn't a payday issue. This was reported by multiple sources including Ariel, who is probably the most credible reporter in MMA and also hates Dana and thus has no reason to report something in defense of him & the UFC. Jon had high demands pay-wise to fight Tom and the UFC met it, Jon still declined because he simply doesn't like that matchup.

This is just who Jon is as a competitor. Unbelievably talented fighter but has always wanted every advantage imaginable going into his fights. His undefeated record means everything to him, his whole identity/legacy as a fighter is built around it, and he's deathly afraid of losing it before retiring. He doesn't want to risk it against Tom, who he knows deep down is a brutally tough matchup for him especially at this point in his career.

Good, away with this fraud. He will go down as the man that avoided Ngannou and Aspinall like the plague. When the going gets tough, Jones runs off. It’s a beautiful paradox as well. Jones wants to protect that undefeated status at all costs, but is only wrecking its value by ducking. This age thing is such a silly excuse as well, knowing Jones had no problem fighting 41 y/o Stipe. Can you imagine if Larry Holmes in ‘83 said nah to Muhammad Ali and instead chose to fight Leon Spinks once more?

But hey, I hear Gane might be interested in another fight, so Jones might want to reconsider.

I just can’t believe this. As someone who cares so much about his legacy, I don’t see him stepping away knowing that this can forever tarnish it.

So much potential but took too much time away from the sport, avoided some big names at their peaks and was caught with PEDs in his biggest fight of his career.

Later. Guys plummeted so hard from his peak. Him taking as long as he did to move up just to dodge the actual competition once he did.

Plus outside the cage guys such a gigantic loser

A long list of "cons" on the Jones pros-cons list, thus; I won't miss him one bit. Crushed many of his opponents, but I despise him for his in-fight and pre-fight cheating, criminal record, avoidance of responsibility, narcissism, stalling or avoiding opponents, and ultimately being stripped of the belt multiple times.

I can say some of his fights were pretty good, especially vs Reyes and Gustaffson, but his 'legacy' he talks about was already scorched, to me, at least. I am inclined to say good riddance, I will not respect Jones for his disrepectful schtick over the past... decade, basically.

Shameless. Avoided Francis, avoided Tom. Wasted a year of Tom’s career just because he could. He was never gonna take the fight.

Despite being able to beat up 99.99% of the planet he’s still a spineless pos.

Just involved in another hit and run. Ran from drug testers, ran from the law, beat up his wife, too afraid to be himself. Fake phoney gutless guy.

Dude is scum. Good riddance.

His retirement post was also AI generated which is kinda funny. Still can’t be real.

He was a grade a prick who refused to fight Chael Sonnon, who was not anywhere close to his level, resulting in a PPV being cancelled.

He'll always be a guy who failed a drug test too.

As there has been a preliminary announcement for a White House UFC event next summer (July 4 2026 is a Saturday and USA's 250th anniversary of independence). Of course Trump and Dana are very good friends, and will def make it happen. Even McGregor wants to fight on that card. Can you imagine a Jones/Aspinall headliner, McGregor/Chandler co-main, and people like Strickland, Covington, and O'Malley dotting an event like that?

The ultimate narcissist's card at the US Capitol. Modern headlines you cannot make up.
