Lol! True.
But I'd hope people can still see the value in these draft picks not only under this current CBA.

But obviously for the cost control, percieved desirable upside as trade assets for other pieces, for an injection of young athletic energizers to an aging " unbothered " team as what've witnessed with the effects that Dunn, Ighodaro and Gillespie brought to our team that boosted our competitiveness.

Also, considering the facts of our current situation being that we're almost completely devoid of young athletic talent, devoid of any legitimately desirable assets, and devoid of any ranges of cost controlled desirable upside salaries.

So taking all of those factors into legitimate consideration, then yes, I'd hope more people would learn to love draft picks more! Or at least the inherent value those draft picks bring as either a conduit for talent acquisition or as trade currency as people are witnessing in today's nba climate.

I agree but not to an 100% extent. The main focus should be creating a culture in the team and the fron office.
You can have a gazillion lottery picks and be like charlotte, washington, sacramento.
If there is no clear vision, strategy and patience then it does not matter if you have a lot of picks, cap space or trade capital.
there was a brief period of time where the suns utilized the assets with value, picked very good not great draft picks and signed fitting pieces to this existing core.
as ling as the people in the fo and the opwner do not change the behaviour there is no hope. it starts at the top.

This is horrible. I would rather keep green, then trade him for 2 players and draft pick that wont do anything for the suns.

I can just see the Suns wanting Center so bad they flip Green for lesser value to "fill a need"

I agree. The only Center I would flip Green for is Jarrett Allen or Zubac

You do know they ended up sending an even bigger package for Desmond Bane right?

Players I wouldn't mind getting in a KD trade:

Miami - Wiggins, Ware, Jovic (those arent bad fits)
Orlando - Isaac, Goga (Also they need a Jalen Green Type)
Toronto - IQ, Barrett, Poetl

Centers I would love to get
Zubac, Hartenstein, or Jarrett Allen.

Other players I wouldn't mind getting from a deal

Cam Johnson, Ausar Thompson, Collin Sexton

I dont think we are good in the draft, so I would rather get 1 draft pick this year, and some good players to fill spots

Who are some of yours?

Players that fit best with Devin Booker and just not getting players. Hopefully they fit around his skillset

"I've heard that there have been discussions of 3-team Durant related trades where Jrue Holiday moves somewhere."

— Zach Lowe says that the Celtics have discussed trading for Kevin Durant recently

That's interesting. Jrue Holiday to another team or to the Suns?

My hope - now that it seems that the Durant trade is going on so now they can figure out Beal, Allen and O'Neale - is that I hope Ishbia and Gregory take a longer term view.

Just keep trying to acquire talent and picks to start building. My concern is that Ishbia will go for the short term fix over better players. Or feel like he needs a "CENTER" just to have a center. Well Nurkic was the WRONG center. Like Vassell - if he is a good player, don't take a lousy center back just to fill center, take Vassell and move forward.

Jrue is 35
has three more years

Not sure that fits the Booker timeline

I would say that there are 3 soft deadlines for the KD's trade:

1) Today. Presumably we would have final offers this weekend.

2) Draft's night.

3) 30th June. Last day before the start of the new season.

Robinson's contract is not anything special.

Only his guaranteed portion counts as salary for the Heat for matching purposes. The receiving team has to be able to accommodate his full contract amount.

I went over this in detail pulling directly from the CBA as a reference a few pages ago

I almost want to see Duncan traded - not to the Suns unless Ware and multiple FRPs are involved - just to see truly how his contract works as I think its how you lay it out.

Pretty pathetic.
