This never happened. This is clearly Bulls front office trying to set the value for Coby after the Bane haul. We prob offered Cole and our 25 FRP and they just putting this out. What a coincidence this is reported after the bane trade? We've been after Coby for months if rumors are true. I say this as Coby White was my preferred trade target too. Would have loved him on the team.

I think it was apparent from the season ending presser we were going to be aggressive. But being blindsided by the Bane trade speaks to how close Weltman keeps his cards. I mean we have like 300 pages on trade scenarios of Coby White, Simons, Sexton and even Jordan Poole. Its amazing how he lets nothing get leaked.

Agree with Skybox, feels like he would have already been here if they wanted him. I just dislike the dude for some reason, he thinks he's the main character despite not being that good. I mean sometimes that mentality is good though, especially off of the bench.

That being said he was good in the playoffs for Detroit and in his proper role as bench PG he would be pretty solid.

Did people not watch last season? We lost Paolo and we still stayed afloat. Hell we even lost Franz and played better than I thought possible it wasn’t until Suggs went down that the wheels fell off. We win because of our defense and he is the single most important piece to that. People really believe he won’t get better? He was terrible shooting then worked on that like a maniac and started shooting 40%. This guy eat sleeps and breathes basketball lol. Just look at who he is dating. I would not place any bet against him.

We stayed afloat in December with Suggs, Mo, Tristan, Goga, AB, Caleb, Queen, 1-2 WCJ games, and 1-2 Cole games.
And then Mo went down and we finally burned out 1-2 weeks later in early January.

We win because of our defense and he is the single most important piece to that. People really believe he won’t get better? What happened that 1-2 weeks later? Suggs went down 6 games after Mo. Yea I get it but I am sorry there is a complete lack of respect for Suggs here in that equation. I love Mo and when he went down it definitely played a big role to the wheels coming off. It was both together that finally sunk us. Jalen played 10 more minutes a game than Mo and was the anchor to our defense. I don’t want to downplay either loss because they were both critical.

What sunk us was Paolo coming back out of shape and instead of being a below average defender, being a bottom of the leaque defender and at the same time scoring on horrible efficiency while having insane usage. Franz was still pretty good til the 4th quarter when he came back but than fell off.
Pretty surprised how fast people forgot what really happened at that time and how Paolo tanked us on offense & defense.

Sure Suggs & & Mo's injuries were a big reason but the biggest reason was Paolo. As soon as both had their legs back we were winning again (except against +.500 like always) and our defense was top 3 again too.

When Paolo came back, his fitness aside, it seemed like all the learnings made with Franz running point and us winning games based off ball movement and off-ball movement just suddenly evaporated.

We were back to Paolo-centric play where the ball stopped swinging and players stopped looking for it.

But fast forward to the playoffs and you see the benefits of a guy who can just will it into the basket.

So it's swings and roundabouts but I do hope we see a more deferent PB next year to allow a better offense be planted.

As for Suggs, for that brief spell when he was last man standing - before he went down himself - he was a better offensive player than we had ever really seen from him.

I definitely think we will Paolo is not a selfish player I think he wants to be collaborative as seen at Duke. He just lost all faith in anyone to hit a jump shot last year. I can’t really blame him. That’s what makes Bane trade and the return of Suggs so impactful. He will now have 38-40% shooters that he should trust. I expect him to have way more space his midrange shot taken percentage to go down and him to trust his teammates more.

Sure, Paolo was out of shape. But Suggs was the guy that kept the team going without Paolo and/or Franz.

The team struggled to adjust without Suggs. I’m pretty sure Paolo’s fitness didn’t have anything to do with the other players’ energy.

It took a while for us to get that motor back up. Even then, the energy was not the same without Suggs.

Ok Finals hasnt been over yet a lot of fans are already saying we arr psychic with thr Bane move esp for the EC next year.

Some are predicting we are top 2. Although i think we are top 4.
