Houston and the Suns haven’t talked in a week and had a bad convo the last time they did.
Spurs aren’t very interested and offered garbage. Holding out for better fits.
Minny unwilling to offer much as KD keeps shutting them down.
KD letting teams know he isn’t interested in anyone not on his list.
Media guys all around saying lately they think it’s Miami.
Seems like a layup honestly but things are never as they seem.

fair but remember all it takes is 1 call from Hou/SA and they can outbid. i wouldnt count them out just bc they took time away from the table.

Better to anticipate us not getting him and then a Barry crashout shortly after.

Ware and 2 future picks for 6 time All-star player D.DeRozen.

I guess we’ll see what the FO thinks. Maybe they’re trying to swing #20 for Devin Carter or someone as DoM I think said.
The Kings reporter clearly stated that we are not discussing DeRozan. It’s probably to get out of the pick to gain future flexibility with the other picks. A similar move the Pacers just made. I don’t think the Kings are sending us Devin Carter for the 20th pick either. He was taken in the lottery last year with the 13th pick. They would essentially be throwing in the towel and admitting a mistake if they did that. It’s too soon for them to sell low on a player they really liked and scouted heavily before the draft.

Then that would make a ton of sense, if its just a deal to get our 27 pick back or any 27 pick. As long as they don't rush into a trade.
If KD doesn't work out we can afford to take a gap year and then make moves in 28 offseason when we have tons of capspace. Next year its the AJ sweepstakes so we can afford to be bad.
And maybe they are looking to make this move to see what happens with Giannis. He def starts season with Bucks but I don't think he signs the extension. I think this is a lets see where this goes and if Bucks sucks then he might be available in the trade deadline or next summer. If we have all our picks, you might be able to make a trade without Bam in it. That would be even more plausible in next summer when Giannis has a year left and ton of leverage.

We are never outbidding OKC or Houston for Giannis. Forget it.
